“We Had a Blast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

The Sky Beach Club and Bistro Restaurant are definitely worth spending time at. It's a great facility with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a swim up bar, food and drink service to your pool side deck chair, a beautiful beach, and no charge to use the facilities as long as you have a drink or a bite to eat. It is a little smidgen of luxury in the midst of an "out island" vacation. Twin Coves beach is just a 5 minute drive along the beach from the Sky Beach Club and we went there first and enjoyed the beach and then came back to the Sky Beach Club for lunch and the afternoon. The food is excellent and well priced, the drinks are excellent and pricey but after one who cares, right?

“Just visited”

We didn't eat here but drove in to check the place out - while their pool and restaurant looks pretty the surrounding area looks like a hunk of concrete. When they built it looks like they just blasted the area and plunked some buildings from Miami down. Not a bahama feel at all -

“another expensive yet average place in eleuthera”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

We visited Skybeach a couple years back but things have changed. Maybe it's a new chef? or some other factor? All we can say now is that it's too bad that the food has taken such a dip. The prices are the same or higher than they were, and the food quality has gone down. We had the chicken wings, which were average, but super expensive at $20 for 12 pieces. I ordered a burger which was less than average, with very little topping for the expensive price. We ordered some side dishes too, which turned out to be expensive at $8.00 each, and they were way too much food, alot went to waste. A side dish to me should be a small portion, like a sampler, for a smaller price. If it is intended for the whole table of people then the menu should say so. The one thing I will give them credit for was a good drink, they were large with a good shot (or three!) of liquor. Still expensive, as most drinks are on this island, but at least you were getting good value for money with this one.
The key lime pie is not as phenomenal as it was years back, but it is still quite good.
Note! unlike some of the other reviews here we had great service, the waitress was attentive and genuinely warm and friendly.
We were the only people in the whole restaurant, but this was daytime hours, maybe the evening is busier. There were a few people around the pool having drinks, so it wasn't completely deserted.
As there are not many places to eat on the island we will probably try SkyBeach again, but we will be careful what we order to get our best value for money.

“HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

I remember when this place used to have awesome food!!! Im hoping something gives here because the view is gorgeous. I've eaten here several times over the last few months... each time I have gotten a terrible meal.
The Chicken Alfredo was soupy and lacking chicken...
The piping hot springs contained nothing else in it AT ALL except 1 little shrimp.
The waitress told me the Happy Hour drink menu does not include the happy hour prices
The catch of the day should be fresh but its not and its been Snapper every time I go, its written that it comes grilled or blackened. Ive ordered it twice now and each time its come back to me soaked in oil and laid over some kind of not so fresh, foul tasting marinara sauce. It came with fairly uncooked potatoes soaked in the same oil. IT WAS DISGUSTING at best.
I am no chef but I do enjoy going out to eat and really enjoy great quality food. I challenge anyone to a meal here and walk away satisfied. BA-BARF, SHAMEFUL.
