“Easy diving”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

I went on six dives with Small Hope Bay Lodge and their dive crew are outstanding. My favourite two dives were Turnbully Gut and Marion Reef - an old naval barge. Diving here is easy - no currents to fight, some gentle drift on a couple of dives, lovely clear waters.

“Diver Bliss”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

With not a dive boat in site, Andros diving is amongst the least populated diving locations. There are no crowded dive boats, hardly another boat in site even. The two main 'guns' on North Andros are Small Hope Bay Lodge and Kamalame Cay. The resorts are very different so cater to different needs. Small Hope is a dedicated dive resort, established for over 40 yrs and is a laid back, family resort. Kamalame caters to a more upscale clientele who perhaps want to sample a bit of everything and want a personalized experience with their own boat and dive crew.

The reef is thriving and healthy. Lots of nice soft and hard corals, yes, there are no huge schools of fish, but all the species are there and you will often have the book out to do your fish ID. Blue Holes are unique in this area and Small Hope Bay Lodge specialize in them if you want to go the full cave route.

“Reef diving with Small Hope”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Wonderful and varied dive sites. Brad's Mountain is a favorite. The shallow reef dives have a great variety of fish. The wall has everything from whip wire coral to 90 foot swim throughs.

“Beautiful Reef”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

The best diving sites. The reef comes right up to the beaches. You don't need to be scuba certified to enjoy the sealife. All you need is a pair of googles.
