If you go to Grand Bahama Island, make sure to spend some time in this beach. It's utterly beautiful, easily accessible, and good to spend time in regardless of the tide.
About ten miles east of Freeport down the highway, it's not hard to find. Assuming you're heading east, the beach is on the right side of the road, while the Lucayan National Park is on the left side.
On the left side of the road at Lucayan National Park are a couple bathrooms that allow for changing into swimsuits. However, you might need to pay for this -- I was visiting Lucayan National Park and had already paid for entrance, so I can't say definitively.
It's amazing! Beautiful water that was warm even in December, sandbars that curled through the surf (check my picture) and a beach that stretched for miles and miles. I had been warned that you needed to be there in low tide, but I wasn't and still had a whale of a time.
