“The staff sets the tone for our wonderful trip to the Bahamas”

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. We wanted someplace nice and relaxing and we found it here at Seabreeze. The beach was across the road and we spent time everyday relaxing on the beach The food at the on-site restaurant was excellent, however the service was extremely slow. We didn't rent a car, but instead relied on their taxi service. We couldn't have asked for a better condo, the furnishings were exquisite and the view of the ocean was great (we were in unit 3). I have saved the best for last - the staff at Seabreeze is the best. They did everything they could to make our stay a memorable and pleasant one . Thank you Seabreeze staff for all that you do for your guests!!!

“The Best Vacation our Children experienced”

This resort was comfortable to live in, lovely to look at and more than all that, the friendly and helpful staff made it a great vacation.
Tarah, Addie, CJ, Ashley, Eleanor, Robin, all helped towards making our holiday a fun and enjoyable one. They would go out of their way to help us with planning our activities and make it seem like it was no problem at all, even if something did change like the timing of certain activities due to the fact that we may have been busy...... :)
We just returned from a week's vacation there and enjoyed some good food at the resort and fun activities like snorkeling, jet skiing, power boat rides and a banana boat ride. An added bonus was making friends with some of the other guests......and walking for just a minute to hit the beach.

“Miss our Sea Breeze 'family'”

Have just returned from a week's stay at Sea Breeze, and miss our staff 'family' already. Tarah, Addy, Robin, CJ, Nunu and the rest of the terrific crew made us feel welcome right from our arrival. The units are clean, spacious and nicely appointed, and the common areas comfortable and well maintained. If you need anything, staff goes out of their way to find whatever you require. There are activities offered daily by the resort, from trips to the store for groceries and beverages, to tours of the storm ravaged West End where we enjoyed the best conch salads on the Island. One day was spent snorkeling and fishing with Addy, CJ and Johnny, followed by a fish fry with the collective catch back at Sea Breeze. Delicious food and great company made for a fun evening that allowed staff and guests to get better acquainted and swap stories of the day's events. Jet skis and kayaks are available for guests as well. The nearby beach is just a short walk from the villas, and offers a chance to snorkel close to your lodging.
Food at the MadKap restaurant was very good and as reasonably priced as anywhere other place to eat. Stock up on necessary food items during the grocery run as breakfast is no longer served at the restaurant. Staples such as seasonings (salt/pepper/etc.), butter/oil, bread, eggs, milk/yogurt, fruit and vegetables, coffee/tea/juice, meat, and alcoholic beverages are pricey, but so is everything imported to the Islands. The local beers are tasty and a bargain.
One day was spent on the Jeep Tour which included a drive through one of the pine forests, Garden of the Groves (good food at the restaurant) and the Lucayan National Park with its beautiful beach. We also took a trail ride from the Pinetree Stables through another pine forest and down to the beach. Our guides Linda and Chris were knowledgable and love their horses, the best we have been on in many a trail ride. Their tale of surviving Hurricane Matthew as the winds blew the roof off the stables is amazing. Most of the tours include transportation, so unless you want to have your own means of getting around the Island, a rental car isn't necessary. Taxis are also available, and Tarah will get you transportation for whatever your needs, often at better rates than booking one yourself. An afternoon at the Lucayan Marketplace provides an opportunity to sample any one of a number of the decent restaurant options all in one place.
Tips(15%) and a VAT (value added tax) are included on just about everything one puchases, especially food and drink. Anything above the fixed tip is up to you, but if anyone deserves something extra it is the staff at the Seabreeze for going the extra mile to accommodate their guests and make everyone feel like family. We can't wait to go back!

“Staff was Great”

People were really friendly. Bed and lighting (could not read after dark) were terrible. Rent a car if you stay here or buy grocery to cook meals.

I had the pleasure of staying at the resort. People also were there for a cruise "day pass". It was everything that my family was looking for. Anything that we asked for, it was handled. We called Tarah for everything. My family can be demanding, especially on vacations. The staff greated us with complete hospitality . The food at the resort was amazing. I recommend the water sports, so talk to Cpt. CJ. Also don't forget to enjoy the private beach.

“The Peace, The Beach, the People!”

We were looking for a relaxing vacation not in a fast paced hotel environment and we found it here! Sea breeze offers a Boutique Villa style units, two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, living room and balcony. There are perhaps 10 Villas on site and a newer unit getting ready to open that can benefit large families with enough room to sleep ten, large open concept area with fireplace and all appliances and pool table. We stayed in the opposite Villas as I mentioned above and had a view of the canal. Manatees used to visit, but not many have not been seen since Hurricane Mathew in October 2016. Most Even number rooms are on the canal and odd numbers face the ocean.
The beach is just across the street and is beautiful with the shallow aqua water and feels like it is your own private beach. On occasion, they host passengers from the cruise lines at the beach and offer cocktails and activities such as dancing, volleyball, etc. You are allowed to drink alcohol on the beach. They have umbrella's and beach chairs available for the beach for free if you stay at the resort and I think for a small fee if you are a visitor. Do be careful of broken glass on some areas of the beach, the boy scouts go on occasion to clean it up, but just be aware of it. I found conch shells and star biscuits and other small shell treasures. There is also another small beach with shells if you go left out of the units to the end of the road.
The staff was outstanding, really outstanding. Thank you Tarah, Robin, CJ, Joe, Ashley, Nunu, Emile and the rest of the staff for making this one of the best vacations we ever had. They offered a free ride to the grocery store on Saturday and Sunday depending on when you arrived. Food is expensive as most everything is imported. A package of Red Solo cups is about $8, a 20-24 pack water is $15, and bottle of spray sunscreen is about $20 - and well worth it. Make sure to get the sunscreen! Need something for the room, just ask and the staff will get you anything you are missing, extra dishes, silverware, coffee makers, paper towels, you name it they will find it! The on site restaurant and Bar - The Madkap - was really good as well. Based on the cost of food in the grocery stores, we felt there prices were great and the food excellent! I loved the burgers (about $10), the chicken con don bleu ($18 + which feed us both), chicken wings, Cajun shrimp, chicken sandwiches. The drinks were great, and you must ask for Robin's special frozen Pina Colada! Your bill will include the tax and gratuity but please remember to tip your servers extra, they so deserve it!
We found the hot tub to be a bit too warm for us. The pool was a bit cool for some, but I found it refreshing. They did offer beach towels as well and Joe always put together Bingo, dominos and trivia games in the afternoon which always proved to be a good time and opportunity to meet some of the other guests. The local Sands beer was great and you could order one from the bar and then take it with you for a stroll down the beach.
I would highly recommend doing a few tours and most tour companies will pick you up and bring you back when the event ends. The area surrounding the Villa doesn't have much activity other than the beach so if you are one that needs to break away, book some tours in advance. We did the Bon fire on the Beach (Taino Beach) and the Grand Bahama Jeep Safari Tour (800-688-5871) which was fantastic and the Lacayan Market place. You will need to get taxi transportation if you want to go anywhere and the fees are pretty much set by the government. The airport fee was $22/each way and to most other locations about $27 each way - the port, the Lacayan market place, etc. We found one taxi driver who always showed up on time and was great to us. His name was Bradshaw Williams, Taxi 373 and can be reached on his cell (242) 443-6461. Please remember to tip your taxi driver well (about 20%). We hope to return to these Villas again.

Grand Bahama (Freeport) has suffered recently from a terrible hurricane that left many business and buildings devastated. Debris everywhere on roadsides, also experienced 12 hour power outage island wide while there due to another storm system that lingered about. This being said, the owner and staff of the Seabreeze definitely bent over backwards to help make the guests comfortable and welcome this week. The Seabreeze has no damage, or is so new it was finished after the hurricane. Rooms nice and large, well furnished with full kitchen. Food good at the restaurant/poolbar, We did not participate in hotel activities, as we rented a car and went off to scuba dive every day.Beach a block's walk away, popular enough to have tour busses drive out to it. resort very close to airport and other attractions.
