Nice place to kick back & play awhile! Usually come away ahead or at least even--never have lost huge amounts, but we play conservatively. Have won as much as $900-1200 though--which is so much fun! The buffet there is a very good choice--as a special treat as it is expensive, but the selection is rather large & the food good. The in-house restaurant is also quite nice. We enjoyed eating here & then staying for the Thursday show--which was entertaining & would recommend. This year, they did add many new machines since it is now under new ownership. We always encourage people to visit GBI and spend some time in the casino. No it isn't Vegas, but it is a very nice, smaller casino, laid back--reflective of the culture of the island. I don't understand why so many people complain about the Bahamian way of life, maybe we need some lessons in slowing down and not being so crazy for a change!! Ask for Tonia--she is an absolute great hostess!!

“Average little casino that gets the job done”
Reviewed April 24, 2011

This is by no means a big Vegas casino. But its cute little place that gets the job done. There are 10 dollar minimal tables on the weekends for blackjack. They have roulette tables and craps and lots of slot machines ranging from nickle to multiple dollar slots. There is nothing really fancy about this place and you dont really get to drink for free here like the ones in the states but its a nice place to stop by and gamble a bit at. And some of my party actually won themselves a little cash. If you like to gamble hit this place up!!!!

“Decent casino considering where you are...”
Reviewed January 15, 2011

Was nervous going into a "foreign" casino, but found the staff there for the most part friendly. Drinks are free when gambling - you can get Sands beer, or a mixed drink. My wife and I only play pennies, nickels or quarter machines. Figured it would be a real slaughterhouse, but was surprised when I won $400 on a quarter machine. We visited (3) times (for about an hour each night after dinner), and we always walked away ahead. Sometimes only a couple bucks, but the night of the "big win" we were still $200 ahead. The selection of machines is quite limited, and nothing new and exciting like Wizard of Oz or anything - but still some electronic bonus game machines, etc. Close to all the hotels, and well layed out, albeit quite small.

“Craps are still # one”
Reviewed May 14, 2009

This casino is small and the only one. It's just right for craps which is all my husband and I play. The rest of the family play slots and Black Jack. We always win there.
Our family goes every year in June.

“Our casino experience”
Reviewed September 11, 2007

My wife and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary 9/11/2007 by taking a cruise on the ship Discovery From Fort Lauderdale to Lucaya,Freeport Bahamas for a few hours at the casino. We have been to Freeport many many times but not to Lucaya since they rebuilt the casino there. We were given vouchers for a Bahama Mama drink from the ship and they were good. We found the casino to be much smaller than we had expected but it was big enough for us since few people travel on 9/11 so we had many slot machines to play and no waiting for machines. The Host there was very cordial and there were some other employees that i knew from the other casino on the island now closed because of hurricane damage, He had not seen us in almost 4-5 years but he remembered us, The people at the casino will do as much as they can for you and i highly recommend a trip there. And because we are slot players with the Isle of Capri Casino in Pompano Beach,Florida we were able to use our players club card there.
