“Super folks to dive with!”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

We arrived on Valentines day 2013, in the middle of a huge storm. We met with the folks at Unexso the next day. It was overcast and still raining and the water was rough. The dive teams did there best and made our 4 dives very pleasant. We had booked a reef dive, the dolphin dive. I guess the dolphins had other ideas, as they left without giving us time to enter the water, but Peter gave us another great reef dive. After that we stayed to participate in the shark feeding. Wow, Cristina is really the shark whisperer! I will make a point to show every one I know the dvd that shows her "pet" sharks getting on to her knee for a pet on the head. It brings tears to my eyes to see such interaction with these poor understood creatures. LIke I said the folks here are here to look after you!

“Professional dive shop”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

During a cruse to the Bahamas, I booked a 2-take dive with the cruise line which was handled by UNEXSO. We were picked up along with a number of people doing the various dolphin experiences at the cruse port. It took about 20 minutes to arrive at the UNEXSO facility. Check-in was handled very quickly and soon I had my gear and we were heading to the dive boat.

There were a total of 10 divers on board with two dive masters so we were split into two groups of five. The day we were there the waters were very rough and that made the time on the dive boat difficult and it also made it challenging to get back into the boat from the dives.

The dive masters were helpful, friendly, and informative. We were led on two good dives even given the challenging conditions. During the second dive, a local (large) turtle nicknamed "Mad Maggie" also joined us which made that time a bit interesting too.

“worth it!”

I thought, it would be too expensive to do the swimming with the dolphins. but now I know: there are some things in life, you cannot buy.

“Dolphin encounter - fun but pricey”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We did the dolphin encounter. Everything we expected except the time in water with dolphins was too little for what we paid. Unexo staff are very nice and intelligent. Dolphins seem to be treated well. Unexo is a nice facility. We will go back. We signed up for this through our carnival cruise ship. We were cutting it close with time, but the staff were very aware of time and when we needed to be back. Very organized.

We recently had the opportunity to experience the Dolphin Encounter with our family. Everything was handled expertly, beginning with the check-in. We were entertained by our Captain, Carl. We traveled to Sanctuary Bay via the waterways but returned via the open ocean. There were only 9 of us in our encounter. Lamond, the trainer, was great and able to answer all of our questions and we asked lots. Cacique, was our dolphin. He was very entertaining and we all had ample time in the water with him. For a family of 4 the Encounter was much more reasonable than the swim and we definitely felt we got our money's worth. After everyone had their time with Cacique, Lamond had him do more tricks for us to see. Following the dolphin expereince we had time to see the Macaws and have pictures taken with them. We would defininitely recommend this to anyone visiting Grand Bahama Island.
