Went on vacation to Freeport. It was raining very hard this day. Made a mad dash and found Robinsons. Ordered the conch fritters and waited in the rain. Was worth the wait.

First of all Robinsons is not a restaurant! It is a food booth in the harbor.

It does, however, have fabulous local style food. You order at the booth and then you find a place to eat it, there are no fancy tables in the shade and if there were it would all be costing a lot more!!!

The whole fish is delicious but if this is not your thing order the tacos, also good.

Great little place, great value for money.

The whole harbor area including this place, Fat Tuesdays, and even Senior Frogs is closed unless Carnival is in port. If you are taking the Express Ferry, or Celebration too bad for you. There were 0 food options, and only 1 small bar open in the whole harbor area.

We ate here based upon the many excellent reviews. It is a small shack with access to nearby, mostly unshaded (a problem at noon on a 90 degree F day) concrete tables. We were expecting to eat lobster, but apparently it was not in- season (early June) and was not on the difficult-to-read-sun-faded posted menus. We decided to try the fried fish and conch salad instead. We never have had conch salad before, and found it rather bland & tasteless… I would not order it again. I loved the fried fish, but my wife found it too difficult to eat…always getting a mouthful of bones…and she did not appreciate the head still being on. They prepare everything fresh in a very primitive kitchen…. and it takes over 20 minutes, even with only a couple of people ahead of you. The orders are hand written in a small ledger…nothing modern or electronic…not even acash register…a very casual way to do business. We’d go back on a cooler day and when they have lobster.

Robinson's is the place to go. Located in a tiny shack at the Freeport cruise ship harbor, Robinson's serves up some of the best, tastiest fried seafood ever. The Cracked Conch was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection and light as air. The shrimp was delightful and the fries were "da bomb". I am ready to go back for more!!
