“Best meal of our vacation”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

We enjoyed the 3-course meal at the Flying Fish last evening. We started the night with many unique cocktails including a cucumber infused gin & tonic and a cilantro mango margarita! Fantastic to go along with the amazing waterfront seating we enjoyed. Wednesday is oyster night so 2 of our party of 4 enjoyed them while the others chose scallops and a crab & tempura avocado salad. Second courses were equally satisfying. Final courses included a creative take on key lime pie, a chocolate hazelnut dessert and a cheese plate.

We received outstanding service, high quality food and an atmosphere that was better than any other restaurant on the island. Enjoy!

“The Best”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

There is no problem calling the Flying Fish the best restaurant in the Freeport, Bahamas area. It is, hands down. It makes all the rest look like conch shacks - which bye and large they are.
I live in Freeport for most of the year and I don't go out much as there isn't much of a choice. The tourists are inclined to yooo and yaaa about some of the restaurants, but a little grouper and rice/beans usually sets them into fits of the sublime.
If you want sublime service and food, the flying fish has it. My wife and I had Sunday brunch here - studied service; great music; great view and food! The food rates with the best found in top restaurants throughout globe - A perfect balance of the creative, presentation and taste. Who would have thought of a light powdered sesame cloud to accompany tartare?
This IS the place to eat in Freeport/Lucaya! And they have a price-fixe menu!

“Sublime!”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

We visited The Flying Fish one evening and had such an amazing meal and service we returned once more to try even more of the creative dishes that were on offer. This is one of the finest restaurants that we have eaten in and we have been fortunate enough to eat in quite a few Michelin star restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking that 'something special'. On our second visit I had the three course Prixe Fixe Dinner with wine pairing , it was certainly worth it. All our dishes were memorable but the stand out for me was the Trio of Tartare. I also loved the sesame foam, I couldn't get enough of it and not forgetting the mango margaritas ! Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Couldn't have asked for anything more - well, maybe one more mango margarita for the road;)

“Hands down perfect.”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Went for dinner and drinks. Was very surprised we didn't have to wait to get in. This place beautiful and the scenery was perfect. We chose to sit out on the water. The setting is very romantic . The food was great. Had Sea Scallops and Caviar on pickled seaweed also Spicy Tuna dip. I will be back again. Best experience yet in the Bahamas.
