Location is perfect. But it is three star resort and it is no more than that. The food was ok. If you expect top shelf alcohol, don't. The best was Aristocrat whiskey. If you stay in Abaco, close to main bar, don't expect quiet night till two o'clock A M.

Room Tip: Don't stay in Abaco 1140-1146 rooms. To close to the main bar.

l almost cancelled our vacation because of the negative reviews,so before we went there l bought a loaf of bread, peanut butter, nutella, lot of chips, because they said the food was awful. Once we got there, the place was beautiful! and it was clean. The first night we ate at the Italian restaurant. The food was delicious. The second night we ate at the buffet The food was also very good with a lot of choices. l have two picky eaters in my family. They wear happy just eating pizza, fries & pasta. With this package, they served hamburgers, hotdogs and french fries right next to the beach. This food was also very good. My advice to people is not run away from an opportunity to experience a beautiful location like this just from the negative reviews. Further to come with the open mind and see the positive aspects of this place and what it has to offer. We had the best time and my teenagers had a blast!

I traveled here with a buddy back in March of '12. We were both 23 at the time and were planning on having the time of our lives partying all day, etc but that was not the case.. Our room was very nice and clean, our balcony faced the ocean and was a short walk from the bars and beach as we were on ground level and just hopped over the balcony. I got a sour taste in my mouth from the attitudes of the staff- they all seemed crabby and wouldn't even consider looking at us unless we were waving a tip around; except Frank down at the beach bar- he was awesome the whole time. I do understand that being spring break and all, they were probably all sick of the mouthy college students which caused the crabbiness. The nightlife on site was ok for those who love to dance to music so loud you can't hear it, but that's about it. All the other students were incredibly rude- cutting in line, yelling at staff, starting fights, etc and due to this, the one night we went to party down at the beach and literally sat in line for over an hour to get a single 5oz drink- they wouldn't give out more than 1 at a time. 1500 thirsty college students and 1 bartender; they closed all the other bars on the resort. We took a taxi to town the next day and bought a plethora of duty-free booze (cheap!) and ended up mixing our own drinks after 10pm every day which seemed ridiculous for an all-inclusive resort. The burgers and stuff down at the beach bar during the day was all pretty good, we never had breakfast or lunch at the buffets but the dinner buffet wasn't great but definitely not bad. We had that almost every day. It was a nice place for the money, but I definitely wouldn't advise going during spring break- even as a college student

We stayed at this resort back in January of 2011, wow time flies. I had always wanted to see the Bahamas and we saw an awesome 10 night deal and couldn't pass it up. I would definately classify this resort as a solid 3 star, no more, no less.

The rooms were ok, not great, but we don't spend a whole bunch of time in the room anyway. The unfortunate part was it was chilly and rained 7 of the 10 days we were there, so that was disappointing. And when you spend 95% of your time at the beach or by the pool, you tend to get a little bored when you can't do that.

We borrowed bikes from the resort to bike into town, as a $18 cab ride each way can get pricey. Be warned, the bikes aren't in the best shape, so there might also be some walking involved.

The golf course was very nice, but I don't think worth the money we spent for a round. Very expensive round of golf.

The food at the resort was ok, not great. And I do not recommend the Italian restaurant at all, I really hope it has improved. But the late night pizza makes up for it.

The beach was beautiful and goes on forever. We walked down the beach every morning and saw some ridiculous houses being built.

All in all, the resort was just alright and with the weather we had, 10 days was a bit long. I would return to this resort, however, I am thinking for a quick 3 or 4 day get away. But only if we could get a good deal on that.

This hotel was our second choice as the one we wanted was sold out. Even though it had spotty reviews, we decided to give it a shot as I believe that some people are not happy with anything. I should have listened to the complainers !

We arrived at 9:30 Christmas night. We were told the 2 restaurants were closed, but the buffet was open till 10 ( all inclusive resort.. Keep that in mind for further reading)... What food there was.. Had been out for hours and was dried out .. Chalked it up to Xmas and the late hour..okay.

Then the trip to the Bar.. Very crowded and with many children..okay... We have kids.. Understandable. Asked what kind of alcohol they had. Was told of the brands.. All well brand at best. Ordered the first drinks and they were terrible. I am certain they had watered down bottles. Met another couple who agreed on our thoughts. Then realized behind the bar sat other name brand bottles that most normal people would like. We asked the bartender for the specific brand and was told the only way we could have them is if we were VIP or Club guests.. Again, all inclusive ? We were told the next day by the on duty manager that we could purchase VIP passes but we're never informed by the bartender.

Again, maybe it was just bad luck on the first night. WRONG ! Got up the next morning to take a shower. No hot water. Went to call the front desk. Phone not working. Also, no trash can in room and bugs on the floor and only towel rack in bathroom was non existent with the exception of one flange. Also, no wash cloths. After an hour, found a maid and advised of no wash cloths. She said she could not get any till 9 am. This was 7:30.

Did the cold shower and headed to breakfast as we really had little to eat the night before. Upon arrival at the buffet, memories of the night before came into play. Supposedly had omelettes available, but no one manning the station. Went to get scrambled eggs from the pan and there must have been at least 16 ounces of water in the pan. Terrible. The fruit that was out most certainly was the same that was out the night before .

At this point, my wife said she didn't care if we just left and went home. I got on the phone and called our booking agent and advised of the problem. She then called back and said the GM did not come on till 10 am. How the hell do you run a resort without a GM on 24/7 ?

At approx 11:30, my agent advised the GM would look into and get back with us. At first, we were possibly willing to work with them if they would move us and do something about the food and alcohol. Did I also say our ocean view room looked over a vacant lot?

The GM met with us and understood our concerns.. Initially... She said she would look into getting the room fixed or moving us. She then told us about the VIP package which includes the better liquor that we could have purchased for $15.00 per person/ day. That info would have been nice to know the night before.

An hour goes by and she returns and tells us the room has been fixed. We then asked her about the VIP package, and she then said she would have to look into it. What the hell was she doing the last hour ?

In the mean time, I was able to find another hotel which was willing to accommodate us. The GM did tell us earlier in our meeting that she would comp the first night. At this point, we had enough. We went back to our room to retrieve our belongings. Guess what? Still no hot water or working phone!!

Just to put in the last zinger. Some were nice, but most including the B#*%< at the front desk this morning were condescending and felt entitled. Jameel (sp) at the customer service desk was very nice and helpful though.

This is not a tirade about an annual trip by an occasional traveler. I log over 125 nights a year in hotels and have been doing so for the last 25+ years.

They did replace the towel bar though.... good job Wyndham.

Room Tip: Go to the Grand Lucaya resort 5 minutes away.

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. Great view of the sea, food was good, staff was friendly and the room was clean. My only complaint would be that the in room fridge was only stocked with 2 beers and some sodas. I am a wine drinker so would have preferred that. The bar was more than helpful in filling up large glasses that I was able to bring back to my room (I brought my own glasses) We actually met a few people there that we have stayed in touch with :)

Our first visit to this chain of hotels, beach was great, bar staff great, pool entertainment staff great, rooms were average for this star rating, buffet food was average for this star rating, food wasn't as hot as it should have been, we had one small issue with house keeping, but a quick trip to the customer service desk and Loyda the CSR did an amazing job to correct the issue and assure me her priority was to ensure I felt my concern was dealt with satisfactory to me. I feel that the last comment Is so important for as when you go away and spend a large amount of money on a family vacation you don't want to feel like once you are on the resort they have your money and they don't care about how your vacation experience was . Would recommend this resort
