I LOVED LOVED LOVED this beach. Perfect blue water. The sand was clean. We went jet skiing which was very inexpensive. The drinks were fantastic.

Wonderful beach with great chairs, volleyball, nearby pool with lazy river and water slide for the kids. Restaurant is very good too.

There's actually 2 Taino beaches and they couldn't be more different. We heard from our cruise dinner companions that they were at Taino beach all day but we didn't see them despite walking up and down the beach twice.
Turns out there's a Taino beach resort with pools with a beach that sides up against a boat waterway but we were at the public beach which is further east but not connected to this resort. The taxis at the terminal will take you to this public beach which is nice but not particularly remarkable, although the weather in late December may have something to do with it. There are like 4 wooden huts to change in and a single restaurant serving drinks and maybe some basic food. Not much there, but it is relaxing with nice sand.

This is one of the inexpensive things that you can do at Freeport with young children. We were here on 12/29/13 and the weather was nice. Not too hot and didn't need sunscreen. The sand is clean and there is a place to get food and drinks. We stopped over here on the Carnival Ecstasy from 8am-4:30pm. We arrived at the beach at 12:50pm and still had plenty of time to stop by Port Lucaya Marketplace afterwards. It's a $7pp fare and you need to pay for your return upon arrival. They give you a ticket to handover when you board the van later. This is for them to keep track of how many tourists they need to take back to the ship. A stop over at Port Lucaya will cost you $3pp. Children 2 & under are free. There are rinsing showers and restrooms. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are available for charge. We travelled with a 3yr old and 10 month old.

This is a beautiful beach! Looks just like it came from a post card. The locals were so friendly and happy. You can enjoy your cocktail and relax right on the beach. No littering or you'll get fine $120.00. They have trash cans out there and the beach is so beautiful why would you want to dirty it? I can't wait to go back.
