Great restaurants (Agave), bars (RumRunners) and shops!
Fun live music at night right in front of the marina!

The merchants have sooo many choices of jewelry and beach clothing to choose from. Some merchants can be pushy.

This place is very nice for tourists. We walked around, had yummy homemade ice cream, and did some relaxing window shopping.

The flea market (tent area) and the very outside row of vendors (opposite end from where buses drop-off/pick-up) had the best selection and prices on clothing.

As far as the tourist traps go, this was a nice market! Too bad so much of the merchandise isn't made locally (like every other place though!) I loved the variety of restaurants. It had a great mix of everything, from designer galleries, to the straw markets with cheap trinkets. These are more enjoyable. Yes, it is the same stuff in every spot, but the people here are sooo nice! Ask around for Big Mama. She is funny...and intimidating! (She called my husband her boyfriend...and I wasn't about to fight her for him either!!) It was a great place to kill time, and visit with some wonderful locals!
The wonderful people made this marketplace stand out from all other Caribbean locations, and for that reason, it has 2 thumbs up from me!
