“Nice place to shop”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This was my first visit to Freeport and I wasn't sure of what to expect while shopping here. No problem getting there from the cruise port as we had a very nice driver who gave us a tour on the way there. I found the shops were quite varied and we met many friendly shopkeepers who were not high-pressured with sales talk. The small straw market there also wasn't too bad with the usual bags, trinkets, etc. Had a wonderful frozen drink in a fresh coconut which hit the spot on a warm afternoon. I wish I would have had more time to hit the local beach as it got rave reviews from my fellow travelers in the shared cab. Would visit again.

“The place to hang out”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

If your in the mood for some shopping, eating and entertainment, this is the place. Make sure you get some Domino's pizza, somehow this pizza is 5x's better than any Domino's we get in the US.

We enjoyed the diversity of the colorful restaurants, shops and very friendly people. We strolled through there a few times in a short say - Love that it is on the water with the boats, marinas and many choices for dining.

“Port Lucaya Marketplace”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Port Lucaya Marketplace was cleaner than I had been told. As soon as you exit your taxi there are locals there trying to get you to spend money. Whether it is for hair braiding, novelty, t-shirts, etc. There is also a nice public beach nearby. Great restaurants and bars nearby.
