I had researched things to do on the Island before leaving on our trip because were only there for one day. I am so glad we chose to visit Paradise Cove. They picked us up and droped us off at the Harbor, and we used there snorkeling equipment. The driver Nathan gave us informative information as he drove us to and from the beach. We were given a briefing as to what to do and what not to do while snorkeling. Also we had never snorkeled before so we were taken into the water to be shown what to do and they made sure we were cofortable before sending us on our way. The snorkeling itself was like being in another world. The views from the beach were amazing. The food at the Red Bar was fantastic. The Bannana Daquari's were unbelievable.

Before we left we were already talking about when we would come back. We recommend that anyone visiting the island that you go to Pardise Cove. The peple there are so welcoming, helpful, and really watch out for you while you are there. Barry and Maurice (the owners). really want to make sure that you are safe and have a wonderul experiense. We were on a cruise that did not offer this as a excursion so if you are going please email Paradise Cove and make your own reservations as I did, You will not be disappoited you will be glad you did!!!!!

Emailed owner and was given time to meet bus and paid on arrival to PC. Very reasonable price $35 each for snorkle included bus ride and all day on beach.
Enjoyed the Dead mans reef for snorkling. We went out as soon as we arrived 9 am. This was a little rushed but understood why when by the time we finished our great exploration of the reef and ate lunch the tide was going out and rocks became visable.
Many colorful fish and sea urchens among the coral. Family owned business, staff was great to our first time teens. After had no rush to return to ship, relaxed on beach. Bus trip included from Freeport passed through poor area and given tour and history of island.
Thank you for family memories!

Snorkeling was absolutely amazing. I saw a group of sea turtles, a very large ray, a small octopus, and at least 200-300 fish of different varieties once I got to the reef/past the rocks.

It is a very low key and small beach with decent snorkelling equipment and fresh well priced food (which is different from the rest of the island which is expensive). Go early and stay late because you are going to wish you had snorkeled some more.

My husband and I visited Deadman's Reef at Paradise Cove and loved it. We didn't stay at the resort as we had to go back to the cruise. We snorkeled and kayaked here. The place is beautiful although small, it is well maintained, and all the people were very friendly and helpful.
They provide you with snorkel and kayaking equipments. The prices were extremely cheap!! They also pick you up from the cruise ship and drop you back. There are fixed time for pick-up and drop-off, so make sure to call and find out.
Try the local drink called "Bahama Mama" :)

Be sure to go on the other side of the reef to snorkel and get close to the reef...it was amazing! It is an easier swim during high tide. We went out during high tide and came in during low, when coming in we were basically swimming on the grass and that felt really weird. The rocks and sand on bottom of the ocean floor were hard so it was easier to swim than walk in the fins. If you have never snorkeled we found it easier to walk backwards once you had the fins on. The staff was very friendly and the lunch was good also. The island punch is called Goombay Punch. It is a sweet punch that is very good. We were picked up from and delivered to our boat on time. We were on Carnival Fantasy. You must take at least one underwater camera and be sure to save some film when kayaking! We had used all of our pics up during the snorkeling and didn't get any pictures of the clear water when we were on the kayaks! We are ready to go back...thank you Mr. Nathan Parker for a wonderful tour of the island on January 9, 2011!
