The trip we recently took to Freeport included MULTIPLE visits to The Afterdeck at Port Lucaya. This was because of (1) Good quality of food offerings (2) nice setting and last but certainly not least (3) the most excellent staff. Our waitstaff was friendly and a lot of fun. We got to know them over the week and stopped in as often as we were in Port Lucaya shopping (which was fairly often). I recommend the restaurant highly and hope you enjoy the same fun and friendly service of good food that we experienced.

Great, quick breakfasts here (under $9.00) with a smiling staff. Conch fritters are good as well, as is the grouper. Prices are very reasonable. Really one of the best values in Lucaya.

One thing: Service in most of the establishments in the Bahamas is not what it should be, primarily because of the automatic 15% "service charge" added to your restaurant bill. (Don't accidentally double-tip!!) Also, rememeber you are on island time. Do not expect things to hop like they do at home. And if you insist on eating lunch at noon and dinner at 7:00, when everyone else eats, service will be slow everywhere.

It was all great! I got the kind of food I wanted, my grandmother got something totally on the other side of the menu that she wanted! They've got it all - burgers, seafood, breakfast, pasta, CONCH! And the people are extremely nice =] Compliments to all!

Everything about this restaurant was great. Bahamian food at its best. We returned for a total of 5 visits in the 5 days we spent at Lucaya! When they found that I loved conch but could not have the cracked conch because of a wheat allergy, the cook grilled conch with tomatoes and peppers especially for me (off the menu). The next night I tried the Conch Mambo which was made with grilled conch and oranges - a delightful taste! Breakfasts were both American and Bahamian with everything totally delicious. The staff went out of their way to make everything enjoyable and made us want to return!

The service absolutely sucked and the food wasn't worth the money. We stopped for a quick lunch which turned into a long painful experience with a waitress with a bad attitude.

The drinks aren't that great either.

We are so sorry you had such an awful experience at our restaurant, and it's never our intention for this to happen. Again, we are very sorry.
