“Convenient and adequate”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

My family ate breakfast here twice while staying at the Grand Lucayan Resort. The breakfast is a typical "American" breakfast and has a good variety of items to choose from. The overall quality of the food is good, but nothing is all that exciting or inspiring. Basically, it's convenient and adequate for starting the day off.

“Keep walking past this one!”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

I feel my expectations for 1) any buffet, and 2) one located in a resort, are appropriately lowered, but this place is awful! Six of us vacationing at the Grand Lucayan report decided to try the breakfast buffet - let's just say one and done! The bacon was raw - and I mean raw. The fruit was mushy and lacked much color, the milk was warm, the cereal choice was very limited, the sausage was greasy and raw in the middle, the made to order omelet was tasteless, the pancakes were hockey pucks and the french toast was soggy. It was impossible to engage the wait staff in conversation, and don't even ask for a diet coke vs the coffee offered - they had to go ask the next senior person to order and then would not bring it to the table until they were assured that we perfectly understood thi would be an extra charge. Never again!

“Do not recommend”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

I waivered between a 2 and 3 for this place. My wife and I went for the Bahama buffet night on Friday and were very disappointed with the food. the jerk chicken was ok, but it wasn't worth the trip. That was the only time we went there so it may be better for breakfast or other nights (although we heard some not so great reviews from other guests at the Grand Lucayan).

“Average breakfast”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

Came here for breakfast because it was located at the Grand Lucayan where we are staying. It is a breakfast buffet, so if you are looking for a menu breakfast don't come here. They had the breakfast basics such as fruit station, sausage links, bacon, french toast, cereal, and an omlette station. My wife did enjoy their coffee saying that it tasted different from typical American coffee.

Food quality was average but acceptable. You pay when you first come in. I think it was 11.99 pp. Also don't forget that they also add 15% gratuity to your bill when you pay. We forgot about this and I tipped extra. It was fine though because the people are very friendly and helpful I didn't mind giving them a little exra.
