By rental car, a bit difficult to find and confusing, but worth the trip. Oceanside road with picnic tables and outside grills, a fish fry FESTIVAL! The first three or four places were full of tourists being shuttled around by their taxi drivers. naturally, wednesday night & the bahamians were not able to keep up, we sat at a picnic table for about 15 minutes and nobody even looked at us (normal for the island). So we left, and based on recommendations from the locals, went further down the road next to the CHURCH, it;'s not far, a block or two! 3 or 4 more fish fry places lined the ocean, and there were no tourists, all locals. MamaFlo's was at the end, and we had fabulous whole snapper and turbot right off the grill. So, I recommend walking through the tourist traps, just to get the vibe, but walk past them and continue along the ocean a few blocks to the REAL THING! We look forward to going back and trying some of the other booths by the CHURCH! the CHURCH is your landmark. You can park anywhere, and proceed on foot to anywhere on Smith's Point.
