“Paradise unmatched”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Three days of unmatched bonefishing. Superior lodging, outstanding food, world class service and isolated from the crowds. My group were treated to some of the best fishing we have ever experienced. The fishery was pristine with little evidence of man's presence. The guides were seasoned and very knowledgeable. Truly a world class experience. I am already planning a return trip.

Stayed in a bungalow on the beach...woke up and went to bed to spectacular views. Evenings sitting on the porch with a scotch telling stories about "that 100ft cast got caught by a little wind and I missed him...". very friendly guides and management. Flats fishing has more wind and tide options than Belize or Mexico. Big long flats about knee deep...easy wading. New marina and welcome center. Very clean. Lots to do...flats, reef, and offshore fishing, world class diving and snorkeling. Restaurant is very good. I had a very nice steak there in addition to shell fish and local fresh fish. Can also take a water taxi in to mclean's town and fiddle around.

Room Tip: If you are with a large family or friends group, ck out the house rentals. Very nice places right o...

This storied bonefishing destination offers the best bonefishing in the Bahamas, guided by the best, most experienced guides. But, for those who want to add to their bonefishing experience or whose travelling companions want other activities, it offers offshore fishing, diving and snorkeling from two new 33' World Cats! A new welcome center, pro shop and dive shop is under construction. New guest houses are in planning for 2010 construction. Lodge, pool and spa facilities are beautiful. Privacy is unsurpassed!

Deep Water Cay, located near McLeanstown is a rare treasure. A short ferry ride takes you from MsLeanstown to Deep Water Cay or fly your own plane and land on their private strip (and even clear customs on site). There's a marina if you decide to come by boat.

Historically a fishing resort, Deep Water Cay Club is diversifying to provide more options for those who do fish and those who don't.

Amenities include a lovely clubhouse with, bar, game room, dining room (serving delicious local cuisine) and internet facilities. A workout room equipped with everything you need and a gorgeous vanishing edge pool are also available. There are a number of quaint guest cottages on the property. Private property ownership is also an option. Incredible ocean front property is available for your dream home.

Local expert fishermen guide you to the best bone fishing in the world. They will also take you snorkeling at blue holes and on other excursions. The staff are all friendly and competent.

Deep Water Cay is a piece of paradise. Quiet and secluded but with plenty to do - it is a vacationer's dream.

Deep Water Cay Club has been around since the 1950's and is still a top destination for saltwater flyfishing. However, the Club tried to go private and has since gone a bit downhill with the lack of revenues due to the lack of guests.
