The Atlantis Resort on New Providence Island...Nassau is an imposing series of sky high buildings dwarfing the bridges and buildings along Bay Street...the heart of old Nassau.
Chances are if you're staying at Atlantis, you'll only pass through Bay Street once on your way from the airport and once on your way back to the airport. There's no reason to leave Atlantis otherwise: it's totally self contained. (We do like strolling Bay Street and haggling for Desi Arnaz straw hats and crazy tchotchkes of every imaginable design and made from every imaginable material (bud cans to sea shells).

The Atlantis resort with it's HUGE casino puts to shame any other casino on any other Caribbean Island. It has the NEWEST slots, every table game imaginable (including bacarrat) and plenty of high stakes rooms and slots which attract the HIGH ROLLERS from magnificent yachts to conventioneers or the lear jet set; plus the day trippers from Florida and weekend trippers from the US Northeast are welcomed warmly by the almost omnipresent service staff.

Recently upgraded, the spacious casino area is marked by dreamy statues, many nautical in theme, which surround playing areas, including ample smoke free areas. There's ample room for the crowds that enjoy kibbitzing at the craps tables and the popular black jack row using Vegas rules.

With the tropical breezes, swimming pools and beaches, a variety of restaurants from hot dog stand to steak house extraordinaire, plus all manner of sports courts and courses, one might think the casino would be secondary activity. Quite the contrary. As the center of most everything, players find opportunities to cruise into the gaming area for a few minutes, hours or in some cases days.

When the resort hosts its annual big NCAA basketball tournament (fall), the Atlantis casino spikes in attendance and action. The spacious race and sports facility is a technological wonder and daily imports signalsfrom the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB etc. to every major horse and greyhound racetrack in the USA.
We've enjoyed considerable gambling success betting at Atlantis---which doesn't mean everyone will. But we can assure gamblers and non gamblers alike the casino at Atlantis is first class.

Nice casino which is a little too conveniently located in the center of the complex. It is visually stunning with the "Atlantian" décor details and beautiful glass artwork. There is a decent amount of tables at which I made my usual contribution!
