“EXPENSIVE CHINESE FOOD”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Considering you know up-front that the Atlantis property is expensive, you won't be surprised at the prices at this restaurant. The good news is, you will get plenty of food. We were celebrating a birthday and the servers were very kind and even sang happy birthday. Service good. Food good. Price expensive.

“Overprice frozen dinners.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

The food at Chop Stix is almost as much as at Olive's, but the quality and service was terrible. The appetizers tasted like they were frozen and just microwaved. The beef in my entree was chewy and gristly. Not to mention, $30-35+ for all-around-average Chinese entrees is very overpriced.

“Decent food but overpriced”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2014

We ate here for New Years. We should have been suspicious when it was not very crowded. While the food was flavorful, the prices were very high. The wait staff was reasonably attentive. The atmosphere was okay, but nothing special. The dirty martini tasted like ocean water. i doubt that we will be back with the number of other choices available at Atlantis.

“Who Woulda Thought?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

Who woulda thought that I'd have one of the best hot and sour soups ever (for $10) when we ate at this restaurant in the Atlantis Coral Towers? It was out of the ordinary because it included seafood and the flavoring was different from and a step above the usual soup.

For a main dish, I had the Singapore (rice) Noodles with chicken and shrimp ($25). My wife chose the $9 side dish of market vegetables, which served her very well. Normally, the expectation seemed to be that main dishes would be shared. The restaurant is nicely but simply decorated with tables reasonably spaced.

This is one restaurant for which you should have a reservation. We didn't, because we had planned to go to a restaurant in the Marina but freaked when we learned that everything was served in family-sized portions. We got to Chop Stix about 7:45 and were told that without a reservation, we probably would have to wait until at least 8:30. This was bad for two reasons: we aren't drinkers and couldn't pass the time in the bar, and we needed to be somewhere by 9 pm. When we told the hostess the latter, she asked us to sit near the entrance for a few minutes. About 10 minutes later, she had a table for us. I think their policy is that reservations are forfeited if a party doesn't show on time.

“Awful”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013

The service, food and choices were poor. Each dish is served family style with extremely small portions but extreme prices. You would be dying of thirst before anyone would refill water glasses. Stay away and try other much better restaurants.
