Friend and I May 3-7 shared unit #111, one bedroom + 1.5 bathrooms (1/2 on the first floor which was convenient). We were literally 6 feet away from 1 of 2 pools. These units face the street; however, the pool and vegetation, waterfalls interfered with the street view. The unit needed a bit of TLC...the sofa bed was terrible (sank into the couch and could hear the springs on the bed), downstairs powder room needed updating. The upstairs king bed was very comfy bathroom nice. Staff was really nice and shared where to go and what to do, arranging quick taxi service too, and daily maid service (fresh towels, etc.). We had groceries delivered by islandgrocerbahamas.com (Marvin Davis very helpful). Nnot everything is listed online but send them via email a complete list, and they will deliver the items not listed. The unit was 6 feet from the pool and 40 feet away from Violas. The unit was clean, adequate kitchen for 2 people, good air conditioning, refrigerator worked well. The only consideration for those with younger children is Viola's has activities that run late into the evening (but we had programmed our PC with a fan noise so we didn't hear a thing). Violas food was good, convenient and with scheduled evening fun activities. The food is priced right and tasty! The beach is 1 minute away from the front door and is amazing! The path beside the pool leads through two locked and coded gates which were functional and made us feel safe. The local Bahamians on the beach daily selling goods and water rides and snorkeling excursions. The water is a breath-takingly CLEAR aqua blue during the day...rougher water towards night time. You can rent chairs and umbrellas $15 per person (you can make deals). We took ferry ride ($8RT with a bit of history along the way) to Nassau downtown where there's lots of shopping and eateries. You can catch the ferry under the bridge next to Jimmy Buffet’s and across the street from the oncoming bridge traffic. Cheaper than a cab ride for us. Buy a drink from the lady under the bridge while waiting for the ferry. We toured the distillery (short tour but awesome drinks). We walked down to Atlantis (amazing!). We also toured the 2-5 bedroom villas at Sunrise and they were GORGEOUS -- would rent a villa in a heartbeat but of course more expensive than the 1 bedroom). If we come back to Paradise, we will definitely stay at Sunrise but probably in a villa. We had a great time!
