We just returned yesterday from a week at Paradise Island Beach Club. Wonderful 2 bedroom villas with 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, 3 flat screen televisions, full balcony with a table four chairs and a lounge chair. The very private complex also includes a small grocery store, a wonderful pool side bar and a very reasonably priced (very good food) menu. The staff is amazing, exceedingly accomodating and friendly. Nice little pool which was never crowded with a second little private baby pool. The beach never had more than 10-15 people on it. Long stretches of white beach to walk on.

The bar staff made a great drink and did not skimp on the liquor. Marvin the bartender was the first person we met when we arrived - he was great- within minutes he made us feel welcomed and genuinely happy to meet us - and we liked him too! On his days off, Tammy was the bartender and she was spectacular too with a great smile and also a great drink maker. Being served by them felt more like I was at a family party than at a hotel. Everyone was so friendly from the front desk to the women who kept our room spotless (and changed our sheets everyday without needing to ask). I also want to give a big applause to Etienne who fixed a light in our room - we will be talking about that light and his ability to "tame" electricity for a long time!

Some reviews have mentioned the smell of the water treatment plant - very occasionally we caught a faint smell. On a walk we found that the water treatment plant down by Atlantis had a much stronger and persistant smell.

We have travelled a lot over the last twenty years and this is definitely the most wonderful place that we have stayed. If you are looking for room service and all the bells and whistles of an overpriced hotel then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a quiet, low key and private get away then PIBC is the place to go. Note: Tip the staff - the added 15% gratuity does not go to them. If you stay in Villa 6 please feed No-Neck-Nick the seagull who sits patiently on the ledge in the morning and then again in the afternoon. He likes bread and Doritoes but not chocolate chip cookies. We will be going back next year. I just wish that we had found this place sooner!

We spent a wonderful week at the Beach Club this past November. It was obvious that alot of work had been done on the landscaping, pool area and in the villas of this resort. Each unit, half of which have ocean/large pool exposure, had two new flat screen televisions and a full well equiped kitchen. The Club is conveniently located on the island, within walking distance to Atlantis and its casino, as well as a wonderful open air restaurant on the harbor side, Columbus Tavern. All in all, a top notch destination!

We just returned from Paradise Island Beach Club. What a gem! The villas are a very comfortable size - two generous sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, full kitchen, flat screen tv's in master and living room! The pools were great - frequented the heated pool for most of the trip. The beach was beautiful but had days of rough waves. Very small resort so you felt like you knew the other vacationers by the end of your week. The staff was very helpful. Martha assisted us with finding local cuisine (Oh Andros) and the food was great.

This resort is a 15 minute walk from the Atlantis and about 5 minutes from the Cloisters (which are absolutely breathtaking at night time).

For US vacationers bring your own food as the price of food in Bahamas is very expensive - we paid $5.95 for a half-gallon of milk!!! We were glad to get back to Publix where milk is only $3.00 for a gallon.

My husband and son went to the Pirate Museum in Nassau. Everyone should experience the Straw Market - quite interesting.

over all very relaxing place.right on the beach.
the monday evening welcome "party" was enjoyable.
the wednesday evening dinner very nice entertainment again right over the beach.
be aware though.. the place is near the water treatment facilty...so when there is a south wind you get to smell it.
the plastic keys for the front doors (at least for the unit we stayed in) seemed worn out and on the verge of breaking...we asked about getting a new one made (if we accidentaly break one or lose one) and we were told it would be a $75.00 charge! (fortuneatly we didnt break or lose our key)
we saw many improvements with the place since the last time we stayed there.for example: the place is now more secure with locked gates only guests have a pass ; the front walk-way is now wheel-chair excessable ramp; many of the paving-stone walkways that were un-even and loose have been replace by concrete walks or by wooden walks; new sun deck near beach side very nice ; breakfast in the breeze-way good ; privacy fence around pool on sun-view side;
I was personally disapointed in the television channel selection
