I had read several reviews before staying at Comfort Suites in Nassau and going to the Atlantis Water Park. Here are a few more hints that might help. A lot of reviews suggested bringing a collapsible water cooler to fill with pop/water and keep at the park. I did this, but it took me a few days to find this pop/water for 1$. Look in the trinket stores by the Quizno's. They have water and soda for just 1$.
There are lockers to use at the water park, but you cannot use your key card from Comfort Suites - only cash or credit card. The lockers are located by the rock climbing wall.
Comfort Suites authorized my credit card for the room charge, plus 25$ per person per day. We stayed four days with four adults and were authorized 400$ over the price of the room.
The breakfast is free at the Comfort Suites. They do include an omelet bar, which there is a charge for. This is not really apparent in the dining area, so be careful what you choose if you want the free portion only.

I had a good stay at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island.

The Good: Great location, close to the shops at the Marina (EXPENSIVE!!) and close to Atlantis--lovely! You get admission into Atlantis as a guest at the Comfort Suites. Yay, pools, beaches, lazy rivers and water slides. There is a spa (Mandara Spa) that is in line with other like spas (running a special now for a 50 min swedish massage and 50 min facial for $160 ($192 with the mandatory tip they place on everything 15% for everything and 20% for spa services). Make sure you ask them for your complimentary gym day pass as you get 1 free when you spend $100 or more at the spa. The spa itself is clean. No super amazing. The cold pool is not very cool, infact more like room temp and the warm pool is ok. Lots of sand at the bottom which I did not like. The dry sauna and steam rooms were amazing! The only thing that would have made the steam room even more amazing would have been eucalyptus spray.

Breakfast included ($7.70 extra if you want a made for your omelette). They have 2 types of cereal, hard boiled eggs, toast, jams, doughnuts, apples, oranges, grapefruit, coffee, milk, water and tea so a fairly decent spread. Oh, and there are two breakfast areas one inside and the other outside--I totally recommend the outside one. It is near the pool and is so quaint. Yes, there are a million and one birdies out there but when you are in the Bahamas-- who cares!

The Bad: Rooms are just ok, no microwaves but there is one in the breakfast area so you can use that if you need to outside of breakfast hours. Our room was very very moldy, musty smelling and they wouldn't change our room. There front desk was also somewhat incompetent-- I don't mean to be mean or rude but they kept messing up who was in our room and who wasn't. It was a little frustrating because it felt like the staff weren't talking to one another. Another bad, night light...not much there. Some bars but I wasn't impressed. Might be a function of Paradise Island but be forewarned. You can take the $3/pp Ferry to Naussau but it stops running at 6pm. Once in Nassau you can take a cab back to Paradise Island for $16 after 6om.

Also, cab to airport is $32.

So, I would recommend this place and do plan to go again. Enjoy!

Hotel was nice. A great deal, if you have a family and want to go to the Atlantis.
The hotel itself is nothing special, just your average decent hotel/motel. Lots of extra fees - Maid gratuity, energy charges, phone charges, and a fee for the safe!
Bahamas overall is a very expensive desitination. You will save a bit by staying here...

We have stayed here five times over the past years, primarily because of the overall value versus the Atlantis and the relative privacy. Back when Atlantis was charging $450 per night, $235 at CS was a near no-brainer. In addition, getting a break from the crowds and food prices was somewhat of a relief.

First the positives: very friendly and helpful service here. Also generally nice to get free breakfast out by the pool each morning.

Now the rest: certain parts of the hotel (I suspect near the laundry drains, etc.) are extremely smelly. If you have stayed there before you may know which "pukey" smell I mean. This trip we were extremely near the smelly area, and I was disgusted they hadn't remedied it since the last stay two years ago. Perhaps a plumbing issue? Unfortunately I recommended the CS to a friend who had the same problem. There were also other small annoyances such as no ability to print boarding passes and unreliable wireless service.

Overall, I think it's time to switch to the Atlantis now that they're offering competitive prices and better and cleaner overall facilities. CS had a good run but it's in need of a major overhaul.

Want to spend a day at Atlantis but can't afford $110 per adult and $80 per child for only 1 DAY? Book a room at the Comfort Suites and you get TWO days for the cost of the room. We booked last minute and had to pay $340 for a savings of $420, but other people knew this "trick" and got the room for $199. Not to mention you get a complimentary continental breakfast which is actually pretty good. We didn't actually sleep at the hotel, but did play for two days at Atlantis and had breakfast in the morning. The down side is that you have a tad of a walk to the waterpark, but we'd walk again for that kind of savings!!! Oh, and at Atlantis you have to pay $10 for parking and it is free at the Comfort Suites when you have a room...another bonus!!!
