“Full access to Atlantis, much cheaper”
Reviewed April 2, 2008

Although they don't have the amenities on site of the bigger hotels, you do get full use of everything Atlantis offers and it's a very short walk. We stay here every April and love it. The people are very nice and it's clean and the rooms are very large. We get 2 beds plus a pull out sleeper. The maids usually do a good job and they have no problem fixing what they missed (which is rarely anything). This place is much cheaper then Atlantis and a lot of fun!

Stayed here two nights so my son can play at Atlantis waterpark. Obviously it is cheaper than Atlantis rooms. But the room was outdated with cold, slippery floors. Housecleaning didn't show up one day. Called in the evening and still didn't show up for 2 hours. Called front desk and asked if it is included in the 299/night I paid. Then they came around. Free continental breakfast. Don't make me laugh. If you are satisfied with ceral & milk, tiny bagels, muffins then it is great. Walk isn't too long to Atlantis. The only reason to stay here is if you can't get rooms at Atlantis like me or if you wish to save some cash. But this hotel is NOT worth $299/night even with Atlantis facilites included.

We stayed at Comfort Suites during spring break 2008 with our kids (12 and 6). The main advantage is access to all of the facilities at the Atlantis Resort with room rates that are at least 50% less than the cheapest rooms at the Atlantis Resort. Take the money you save and go on an extra tour, have a better dinner, buy more souvenirs, etc. (Make sure you eat at Carmine’s and take the water taxi to Nassau).

Make sure your room is in the East wing. It’s a bit further away but you will not get the noise from guests constantly walking to/from the Atlantis 24/7. The complimentary breakfasts are great. Toast, bagels, cereal, doughnuts, juice, coffee/tea, oranges, apples, … what more do you need?

Do not cash travelers cheques at the hotel as they charge for this. Instead, walk across the street to the Atlantis Casino where they are happy to cash travelers cheques for free.

On that note, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THE DOLPHIN EXPERIENCE AT DOLPHIN CAY AT THE ATLANTIS RESORT. Instead, take the Dolphin Encounters package at the Blue Lagoon (Dolphin Swim or the Dolphin Close Encounter). It’s twice the value for half the price and their staff are far more intent with ensuring that you have a truly memorable experience.

You should note that the quoted room rates at Comfort Suites do not include an energy surcharge ($6/adult/night), housekeeping gratuity ($4/person/night), room safe charge $2/night), resort levy (6%) or hotel tax (6%). All of which will significantly add to your actual room rate.

Overall, a very good budget hotel in a great location.

Great value for the money- our room was very clean- we had no issues. Freshly stocked every day which clean sheets, towels, soaps.

The continental breakfast ervery day is sufficient and helps stretch the budget for some of those $12 drinks at the pools!

The access to the Atlantis is a huge plus. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

We stayed four night (3/23 - 27) with our two teenagers. Choosing Comfort Suites was a huge help in staying within our budget. Also, having the sleeper sofa gives you more sleeping options if you have older children. Internet rate of $250/night ended up being a little over $300/night with taxes/charges. Room was always very clean. We had asked for a quiet location when we reserved online and we were placed at the end a very quiet wing.

We arriving around 12:30pm and our room wasn't ready until 3pm but it was no problem - we put our luggage in the storage room and went ahead and started enjoying Atlantis.

Breakfast gets pretty crowded from 9am - 9:30am. They were serving in two locations which helps. The day that was mostly a problem was a windy day where you really couldn't sit outside without your styrofoam cups and plates blowing away. If going earlier/later works into your schedule that would be a good idea. Breakfast is very carb oriented, but OK for 4 days and saves much $$.

We were trying to spend $100/day on food and we did manage to do it. Breakfast was included and then we brought a suitcase of snacks, water bottles and juice boxes. We took drinks into Atlantis in a little softsiided insulated backpack and it worked great - kept them cool all day. We also took snacks and then would supplement with just a few appetizers (nachos, cheesy fries - stay under $20) or one of the "meal deals" (such as 4 hamburgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks - $26). Dinners where you can stay under $80 for a family of 4 are Anthony's, Dominos (get coupons from front desk - delivers to hotel), Quiznos, Marina Pizzeria (Atlantis restaurant $6 per slice but they are huge), Green Parrot (in Hurricane Hole - mostly sandwiches) and Johnny Rockets (Marina Village).

Two of us did the Dolphin shallow water encounter at Atlantis ($320 for both of us, then plan on spending about $15 per 5x7 picture that you get). It was nicely done and so conveinient.

Getting chairs when Atlantis is full is a little of a challenge. We would take our towels back with us and then put them on the chairs when we took our AM jog - also tie a wrap or leave a Tshirt to make it easier to locate. Lines weren't too long for the big slides and we always got an inner tube right away in the Current (their non-lazy river).

It's great if you don't need to worry about $$ on a vacation, but we felt very fortunate to be able to go to Atlantis and were grateful to have the Comfort Suites as an option for those who need to watch their budget. Enjoy!!

My family and I stayed at the Comfort Suites in 2006 and this was such a great place to stay and so close to teh Atlantis. We walked there all through the day and had no problem getting everything we needed from the Atlantis. At night we went out and felt safe walking back from the Atlantis to our hotel room. The pool and bar in the pool is so much fun we would just sit out there and drink all day!! Our bartendar was the best she made us party it out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone it has great service, clean rooms, so close to the Atlantis and a great pool/area.

I booked a room here for one night during Easter March 2008.
I wanted full access to atlantis for 4 people. I had no plans of even spending the night there. The room was nice, large, clean and comfortable. We had a first floor room with a patio overlooking the pool. Its a 3 minute walk across the street to Atlantis. I had no problems charging everything to my room that i purchased in atlantis. They have complimentary continental breakfast in two seperate areas. The pool was large and clean. The front desk staff was very very RUDE. Besides that i would stay here again if Atlantis has no specials. When they were done adding all their taxes, resort fees, cleaning fees, extra person fees and all kinds of ridiculous fees my $239 a night rate i thought i was getting at a bargain was $418!!! Its a comfort suites for goodness sakes. Nevertheless i would stay here again if Atlantis has no specials.
