The are lagoons everywhere and we found new ones every day. Be sure to check out the Hammerheads, next to the predator lagoon. There are also shark nursery lagoons and sea turtle lagoons.

On our recent cruise stop in Nassau we visited Atlantis. We originally had two full days there but Hurricane Sandy changed our itinerary to 7 short hours. We booked a room at the beach tower and visited aquaventure in the early afternoon and then headed to the aquarium. The smaller animal exhibits along the property were very nice and pretty cool to see so close. There actual aquarium has a large variety of animals and they seemed to be well cared for. Something they could add is plaques explaining what you are seeing. They have a two sided poster that you could carry along but it doesnt show it all. We did miss seeing the inclosed aquarium over the walkway as well as being able to see the aquariums from the outside.

Our short time at Atlantis didnt give us nearly enough time to see it all. We will definitely be back.

Although we've seen dolphin shows before, it was great to actually be in the water with them and touch them and see them perform their tricks right in front of you rather from the stands of a show. We chose the shallow water experience which was not intimidating at all, rather extremely relaxing and pleasant.

Truly spectacular facility filled with huge fish and Manta Rays. The numerous paths through the underwater fish exhibits were impressive. The marine displays alone would have made the trip wonderful.

We took a "Beach day" at Atlantis while stopped in Nassau on a Carnival Cruise last weekend. We opted for a cab ride over in lieu of purchasing the beach day from the cruise line and bought the day passes in the casino for $69 per person which included lunch at the outdoor cafes, beach and aquarium access. Shortly after our arrival the rain came down!!! we used the time to walk through the dig and check out all the sealife. The aquarium was amazing!!! After the rain passed, we walked outside and picked up our lunch then off to the beach. the beach was absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is there were people on the beach selling things which is part of why we came here was to get away from all of that on the public access beaches. Other than that, absolutely gorgeous.
