“Shallow water encounter is OK”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

We did the shallow water encounter. It is great if it is your first time. We've since done encounters in Cancun and now again here. This time was lackluster.
It will cost $135 if you purchase when you are there. If you can buy it for less online or over the phone before you go, do it. I saved a little by purchasing it in advance for $114.
$70 is the cheapest photo package. (2 - 5x7s and 3 - 4x6s).

“Go to the Sealions!!”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

We booked an interaction with the Sealions through Atlantis while on a cruise. It was amazing! Truly a once in a lifetime experience. It is based in the same part of the Dolphin Cay, but not the same "pools." Highly recommend doing something different!! It is expensive, but I supposed that if you plan ahead for it, then it really isn't that hard to handle. The staff and photographer were professional and super friendly. Lots of background and educational information about the sealions and their daily lives. Everyone got individual time and attention with "Sunshine", our special guest.

“For The Love Of Dolphins!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We did not book a dolphin adventure. Prices started at $150 per person and offered limited interaction. It seemed the more you were willing to pay, the more interaction you'd get. A family we spoke to was disappointed that their encounter was merely the dolphin swimming by them in the water. In fact, it was $30 just to stand on the sandy shore and watch the dolphins. We opted to sit on the patio and view for free. The only plus was the stuffed dolphins in the gift shop (free to enter) were cheaper than at any other Atlantis gift shop on site or in the Marina Village. There were many unique items found only in this location. It's worth stopping to check out but you'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth the price of admission?

“Expensive but Nice”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We visited here as a cruise excursion while in Nassau. The Atlantis resort in and of itself is extremely large. Be prepared for a lot of walking and unless you have an entire day from sunrise to sunset you will never get to see the entire grounds. We did the shallow water dolphin encounter and my kids did the deep water dolphin swim. Both were good but very expensive. You are in the water with the dolphins an average of 1/2 hour and it is a pretty neat experience. However, in my opinion the dolphin encounters are way too expensive. I would also note that the staff is very nice and food is extremely overpriced. A hotdoge is $6.50. Eat before or after your visit.
