“Very good food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014 via mobile

During our stay at the Atlantis, my family/friends ate at this family style Italian restaurant twice. The first time there were just 2 of us. Thankfully, while we were having a drink at the bar, the bartender recommended the chicken saltimboca as one of the smaller dishes. It was delicious and we didn't have too much left. The second time there were 12 of us, six people at 2 tables. Both tables were very pleased with the food. We ordered pasta with vodka sauce, spaghetti bolognese, calamari, Caesar salad and bread. Great food with excellent service. Also, I would recommend reservations!! We would definitely come here again.

“The food is too much”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014

We are a family of six with four boys. We purposely tried to order light knowing the portions are big. The fried zucchini appetizer could have served 20 people. It felt awful to see so much food go to waste. The pasta was good and one dish was perfectly enough for us. I have to say the experience with the zucchini set the tone for a not so pleasant evening, which was a shame. It was not horrible but our least favorite meal of our trip.

“Family Style”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014

Know before you go: everything is family style, so the portions are enormous, and priced as such. Also, there is only marinara sauce, no cream sauces. Also if you want any type of meat, you have to order that additionally to your pasta...so spaghetti with meatballs is sold as: meatballs with marinara sauce, and then you have to order spaghetti noodles separately. Strange. That all being said, it was good, but if you have a family of four, count on ordering something everyone will eat. Or don't go there.

“Come very hungry!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

Carmines portion sizes are gigantic! As with every place associated with Atlantis, it is overpriced, but it does leave you full and very satisfied. I would avoid the fried zucchini appetizer unless you really like fried breading. We were expecting Maggiano's style of sliced zucchini and light breading, but instead got something equivalent to a blooming onion. Fun atmosphere and very good service.

“The Lasagna was the size of a small baby”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014 via mobile

Wow.. When they say family size, they really mean enough for the whole family! We could have just gotten full on the amazing bread basket. We had the mussels for an appetizer and they were spectacular. And then a small baby covered in delicious, melty cheese and meaty sauce was delivered to our table. I had to take pics to document what I was seeing. It even tasted good too! Fantastic dining experience.
