Firstly, when at the front desk of the restaurant we were ignored for a good five minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence.
We then proceeded to order. We ordered the following:
1 Katsuya roll - the majority of the roll was rice with very little fish. Additionally the food was pretty luke warm, not what I expected of fresh sushi.
2 Robata Eggplant - 6 pieces, size of a quarter all for $8. An actual joke.
3 Robata Asparagus - not the best but edible.
4 Wagyu beef - way too salty.
5 Miso black cod - the first dish was essentially charcoal. We asked to send it back. The silver lining was that they didn’t argue and gave us another one. The second one that came out was much less blackened but not any miso. Can’t really win, can we?
8 We then ordered some desserts. They were ok. But they didn’t give us any spoons, the waitress was nice enough to agree to get us spoon but we were waiting for 5 minutes. We had to eventually ask the manager for a spoon. Another silver lining was that they agreed compensate us for the dessert.
To top that all off when paying for the bill, the payment method is so archaic that you have to walk across the restaurant to pay for the bill as there were no mobile machines.
Honestly 2 out of 5 is generous. This is not fine dining.
