Just returned from Nassau, Bahamas where we had a fabulous meal at Cafe Matisse. We sat ouside in the courtyard, lit with lanterns for a wonderful ambiance. Food was delicious and it was difficult to make a choice as the selections all sounded wonderful. I had braised lamb shank which was to be served with mashed potatoes but since I preferred the saffron risotto which accompanied the veal shanks, the waiter made the switch. My husband had a filet mignon which was quite large and cooked perfectly. The wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating, which is not always the case in the Bahamas as gratuities are almost always included so there is no incentive for exceptional service. We wanted to return but the restaurant is closed Sun, Mon. I highly recommend Cafe Matisse, you won't be disappointed.
