My husband and I stumbled on to this restaurant while we were staying on the west end of the island. This was a dining experience we did not expect. This kind of quality and attention to detail seems to be rare! The property and gardens are just extraordinary! From the moment we walked in, an absolutely gorgeous hostess took us to the exquisitely decorated piano bar for cocktails while we waited for our table. The wine list is top notch. There are several dining rooms that are all very tastefully decorated. We had SUPERB service! The food is just out of this world! We had the local pumpkin soup, caramelized pear salad, I had the veal medallions with shrimp skewered on a sugar cane. I skipped dessert and ordered a Bahamian coffee that was prepared tableside. this was as fun to watch as it was to drink. The waiter caramelized the sugar onto the glass, then heated the liquor to flame in the glass adding the brown sugar and cream with coffee. WOW...my husband and I just cant stop talking about it!! Truly delightful evening! Its a must do on the list in Nassau!

This is a highly eclectic new restaurant, which clearly spared no expense in its design. From the marble flooring to custom woodwork, the restaurant itself is a site to behold. There are flowing gardens, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and unusual works of art throughout the space. Even the silverware and drinking glasses seem to have been custom made.
The service is first rate for the Bahamas. Attentive but not over bearing. The food is quite good, and the wine selection extensive. Bring your extra large wallet, however, since you will get a fine meal in a lovely setting, but it will come at a pretty steep price.

This new restaurant has recently opened in Nassau (opened in December 2013, I believe). Our first time there was a 'WOW' experience....hence the expanded descriptions.

Located in the Western end of New Providence, I was impressed from the moment we drove into the grounds. The short drive up to the restaurant was stunningly beautiful with fountains, running pools of water, wildlife and exceptional vegetation on both sides.

The restaurant setting is in an estate house of a bygone era that has been totally renovated to enhance the gastronomic experience, and that's putting it mildly. Entering the building, we were met by the hostess who seated us near the piano (live music every night!) and arranged for cocktails to be served as we waited on comfortable couches for our table.

Our hostess returned to escort us to our table in one of the two dining areas: the first, "room with a view", is near the piano and music, and each table overlooks the fountains and gardens of the estate. The second area (where we were seated) is called "Seashell" and is a well-appointed dining rotunda with large artwork adorning the walls. I say all this because, to me, the fine dining experience must include wonderful ambiance as well. You will find that here!

The menu was nicely varied and my appetizer was a generous portion of smoked salmon with watercress and thin toast points, beautifully presented. I also ordered a salad of Asian Pear which was absolutely delicious with wonderful flavors infused of cinnamon and spices. My husband had the lobster bisque and said it was extremely tasty...in fact, just about the best he has had. Next came the main course and there was a wide selection. I opted for the home-made ravioli stuffed with a variety of meats and served with a melted cheese that tasted like gruyere. I was in heaven. My husband chose the fillet mignon which he said was perfect. We opted out for dessert and coffee.

When we were paying the bill, one of the staff offered to give us a tour of the grounds. As we started our tour, we were delighted to step through another door to find an additional dining area outside with soft lights, comfortable seating and definitely a must for the next time we dine here. But our 'WOW' wasn't finished yet; our tour took us up a brick path to several secluded, indivual cabanas, each with a table for 2. Very private for honeymooners, celebrities and others who want private dining with their own butler and chef service. Another WOW!

The dress is smart casual and reservations are a must. It was a really wonderful evening for both of us and another very nice place for fine dining in Nassau.

Everything from the beautifully manicured entrance, greeting from the valet, elegant lounge and dining ambiance to the attentive service and delicious meal made this a truly fine dining experience. Steak was grilled exactly as ordered with a unique and local flavour and the Caribbean Lobster mouth watering. The attention to detail and effort of every member of this restaurant team compelled me to write my first review ever. We travel and dine all over the world, Sapodilla - a pleasant and impressive surprise. Thanks to Elvis and his crew - great service.
