This was my first food tour and I enjoyed every minute of it. Alana was our guide, she was knowledgeable and just great at what she did. The amount of food we had was just right and the history stories told to us were definitely not boring. We went to local restaurants with amazing food that I would of never known to visit if it wasn't for this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to try local Bahamian food while learning a little bit of history.

“Not just for tourist!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

As a local always looking for something a little bit different to do, this was a great experience. Living on the island you can walk past the many sites that our guide Alanna pointed out and forget the vast amount of history connected to them. It was fun to hear these stories again and then there is the food! The food on the tour was great. I have some food allergies and Alanna was very gracious in finding food substitutions when necessary for myself and my pescatarian boyfriend. The interaction between the other members of the tour also made for a fun time.
I fully recommend this as experience. Bahamians however, should keep in mind that the portions of food are for tastings so don't go looking for the big peice of chicken that you are used to!

“A Fabulous Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

This "off the beaten path" food tour was an excellent adventure that included an amazing culinary experience combined with interesting up close and personal information about the individual restaurants and chefs, as well as, many aspects of Bahamian culture. We were also treated to visually stunning views from Government House and opportunities to see many other historical landmarks. All this came complete with facts and explanations from our amazing tour guide Alanna, who is an extremely knowledgeable and articulate guide that makes you feel at home immediately. It was easily one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

“An extraordinary experience!”

The tour was great from start to finish. Alanna was our guide and she made the tour both fun and educational. The food tasting was the best part of the tour! It allowed us to taste many different Bahamian dishes and desserts and visit so many beautiful scenic areas of the Bahamas. A must thing to do when visiting the Bahamas and a definite bucket list item!

“Awesome Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

I always ask my wife on our last vacation night what her highlight was and this time after two cruises and 4 days in Key West she said this was 2nd just behind a private 2 story villa for a day on Carnival's private island Half Moon Cay. Having been to Nassau a number of times we wanted to do something different than the usual and boy did we get something unique, fun, educational and very yummy. Our guide Alanna was an encyclopedia of Nassau facts and really knows her food, there is no way you can get that much quality food and tour for twice the price of the tour. I look forward to going back and taking friends and family.
