This is the worst charter service I have ever paid for and probably wouldn't even do it again if it was free. The deckhand was not social and didn't talk to us the whole boat ride. This is very frustrating to have a deckhand like this especially when you only catch 5 small Tuna in 4 hours! The tuna we did catch were caught pretty much all by myself because the deckhand would disappear into the cabin and the captain was "to busy" driving the boat! This was a complete waste of my $600 and don't book with born free charters!

Thank you for taking time out to write this review. Although disappointing to read, we appreciate the feedback. We at Born Free feel that getting honest feedback is the only way we will know what changes need to be made within the company.
With reference to the behavior of the deckhand not being helpful and social, I would like you to know that this will be addressed with him ASAP. We would like to apologize for his attitude because this is not what is expected of a deckhand on our charters!
With reference to the number of fish that you caught, I have to say five tuna on a 4hr charter is not terrible. There are some charters that go out and catch nothing. But we understand that no company can promise any customer a certain amount of fish. There are good fishing days and some not so good fishing days.
I do however understand that the attitude of the deckhand did not assist in making you feel as if your five tuna were worth it. For this we apologize again.
Thank you again for your feedback and you can be sure that we will be using it to further improve Born Free in the near future!

My husband chartered a boat with Born Free for 2 mornings while in the Bahamas. Before arriving, making the reservations was pleasant. Once we got there, we confirmed with Nick and he was very accommodating in getting us food for the trip. The first day, my husband caught a 300 lb./9 ft. Marlin. He was the talk of the town. The second day, I joined him along with our 2 sons and it was a beautiful morning. Captain Herbie knew the spots to hit and Bruno (mate) was very attentive to the boys and ensuring they caught fish. In the end, they caught: 10 yellow tail snappers, a baby grouper, 2 barracudas, mackerel and a mutton snapper. Everyone was happy at the end of the trip. Boys got to fish and I got to enjoy the beautiful scenery and work on my tan. Thanks to Nick and everyone! Maybe we'll see you next year.

We to were super excited about your husband's Blue Marlin! It was a beautiful fish and I am so glad he was able to take photos. Thank you for sharing photos with us as well. Thank you again for your kind words and we hope to see you and your family again in the not so distant future.

Deckhand worked hard, but only caught one fish. It seems like other boats around us did better. Nearby boat found fish sooner and caught 8 mahi mahi. I never touched a fishing pole. Disappointing!!!

I would like to thank you for your feedback and taking the time to express your feelings with us. I am glad to hear that your boat was able to land one fish and that you must have had a good experience otherwise than not being very succesful catching fish. It is unfortunate, but we have no control over how many fish a charter will catch or if they catch fish at all. All our captains can do is take you to the places where they know fish to be prevalent. It sounds as if your captain did take you to the right place since there was another boat near you catching fish. We surely do wish your boat caught more than one fish but unfortunately this is not a problem that we can resolve. In the fishing industry there are great days and there are slow days, that is just the nature of the industry. We do however hope that you will not fault us for this and take another charter with us on your next stop into Nassau. Thank you again for your feedback.

Our family are repeat customers of Born Free Fishing Charters for over the past 20 years. Captain Pinder and crew have taken us to the Exumas, Berry Islands, shark fishing numerous times, and around the Nassau reefs. Every time we are out in the ocean, we catch something different. Snapper, wahoo, yellow tail, grouper, barracuda, sail fish and of course our favorite, the catch and release of sharks. You will not be disappointed!
