We stopped here on a Disney cruise. We did a brief walking tour and ended up at the Straw Market, then picked up a cab to drop us off under the bridge. McKenzies is a small shack along the water, pretty much like the others. We ordered the conch salad and a few other items, but the conch salad was the big winner. We had a booth right outside the window where he prepares the conch salad and watched him make up quite a few. Besides us, it was all locals, and they had varying requests for the ingredients. This is fresh conch at its freshest and amazingly good. As someone else said, this is not a place for snobs. Just super fresh delicious conch. My wife was a bit off-put by the dodgy building and McKenzie preparing the food with his bare hands, but when she tasted the result, she was sold! When we came back from the cruise, she made us a fresh salad with shrimp, using the same veggies and fruits. Not as good as McKenzie's, but I look forward to her making it often, reminding us of the great time in Nassau.
