After querying several employees on our cruise and then some employees at Atlantis, we were told to eat here. Good recommendation!
The taxi from Atlantis seemed to understand when we said we wanted to go "under the bridge" and dropped us off at a lights right in front. There weren't any tourists around, just locals, but everyone was nice and took care of us.
Food isn't cheap. Most platters run around $20. We wanted to really sample everything so we spent close to $100 including drinks, conch salad (huge!), fried fish, shrimp, and other seafood.
We grabbed a spot at a outdoor table/bench and chowed down. We shared our booth with another family because there was little space and we were only two.
The trickier part was hailing a cab out of there. Many of the "local guys" offered to get us a ride, which was a little disconcerting, but we gained our courage and were dropped off at the cruise port. Whew!
Definitely would go back. I have dreamt about that fish since.
