The Harborside @ Atlantis recommended Seahorse Sailing to us while we were staying in the Bahamas. Because they are located on Paradise Island it was a close walk rather than a taxi/bus ride across the island, like we had to do the day before. We were greeted at the dock by the Seahorse crew. We left the docks about 20 mins after 9 and then had to motor to the cruise port to pick up other passangers. After gathering everyone, it took about 40 mins to get to the site we were going to snorkel at. The trip was beautiful...be sure to check out the amazing beach-side houses & yachts. We were taken to what the locals call Rainbow Reef and it was spectacular!! We have done quite a bit of snorkeling over the last few years, and this reef was the most colorful and beautiful reef we've seen! Most of the reef was 10 or so feet down, but there were areas that were close to the surface. We got to snorkel exactly! 1 hr...
We brought our 4 y/o and 10 y/o and both did well in the environment (even on a very!! windy day). The ladder on the boat is pretty tall, so if there are mobility issues, the climb might be a little difficult. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. On the way back, rum punch and fruit punch was available, as well as chips.
Water was provided all day. Snorkels, masks and fins were provided for those who needed them. Snorkel vests were mandatory. Make sure you bring sunscreen & towels AND an underwater camera.
We can't wait to go back and take another trip with Seahorse Sailing.
