“Simple and cool”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

Simple beach bar with the bar basics and most of the time nice staff. The best is the beach. You drink your beer and you are far away from the crowds. Really nice and cool.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed April 10, 2014

Beautiful beach on a calm cove, laid back, good drinks and surprisingly a great lunch. A relaxing yet memorable part of our trip to the Bahamas.

“The Idyllic Beach Bar”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

We walked to Love Beach from the Orange Hill Inn (be careful--West Bay Street often lacks space for pedestrians) and were pleasantly surprised to find victuals and liquid refreshment awaiting us. Given the ease in getting there by way of the #10 and #12 buses, I don't understand why people spend their time at Cabbage and Cable beaches. Nirvana Beach is relaxed and quiet, and offers the added bonus of an absolutely splendid view. Our bartender, Angel, made the visit complete.

“From a Cruise ship via #10 Jitney!”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

Rode here on the #10 jitney from Carnival Fantasy on March 22nd, 2014. The bus is $1.25 per person but usually doesn’t come this far down. Offered him $10 for 4 riders and he took us right to the front street entrance.

Walked down a driveway and meet Nat in the bar at about 9AM. He said they were open and we went out back and found a nice spot in the shade above the bar. They rent snorkel gear, kayaks and such. Chairs, tables, loungers, free as long as you buy a drink or two.

There were some spots about 10 feet off shore where the coral is really high and you can get cut up on it if you’re not careful. But that’s subjective to the tide, I suppose. Plus you can go up and down love beach. We swam and laid out in the sun for a few hours.

Small spot but we had it almost to ourselves so it’s way better than some packed public beach or excursion.

We had to walk about a half mile down the road to get to a bus stop near Compass Point. If you go with little ones I would suggest arranging for transportation back beforehand. Not a lot of room to walk on the road to the bus stop.

All and all I would comeback for sure.

“Nirvana on Love beach”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

We spent 2 days here because we liked it so much. Get away from the touristy places and relax. Nat was great, as was the view and the swimming. The food was okay and there wasn't much for cocktail options, but they were welcoming and made us feel at home. It was the perfect speed for us and good prices for the Bahamas. You can rent snorkels and kayaks. We met a number of locals that often spent their afternoons down here that were also very helpful in telling us about some other hidden gems on the island.
