We stopped at Goldie's Conch House while in port at Nassau and we had an amazing lunch. I had the Cracked Conch platter (fried conch, rice and beans, friend plantains, coleslaw) and my husband had the Grilled Grouper (nice chunk of grouper and white rice). The food was outstanding and so fresh!! The portions were more than enough and everything is prepared fresh so it takes awhile to get but it is worth the wait.
This place is further down the street from the other restaurants so it seems to be less crowded. It has inside and outside seating and we found it (from what we could see) to be clean. There are also pool tables on a back porch and a full bar.
As I said before, service is a bit slow to get your food and our waitress must have been new because she didn't know how to answer our questions and we saw her being trained at the computer but she was very friendly.
I found the prices to be about right for the Bahamas. Everything is expensive. For two entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks, we paid about $50.
We would definitely go back to Goldie's if we are ever back in Nassau.
