“Great setting and good food”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

The restaurant is in downtown Nassau and the best place to eat in that area. We had dinner outside in this old colonial building. We had the spicy tomato soup and the mahi- mahi fillet with creamy spinach and salad as side dishes. All was very tastey and the service was also good especially compared to other places where we dined. Unfortunately the espressos were not hot and much too watery for our European taste. A friendly Dutch guy runs the place. Had read on Trip Advisor that there was music - not when we were there.

“Great food, but flaws”
Reviewed January 24, 2014 via mobile

The appetizers and mains were all done well--great ingredients, well presented, great grilled seafood, some surprising southeast asia curry, etc. And the setting was old island, almost plantation, clubby. But..
1) Wine "list" is by the glass and consists solely of three house reds and three three house whites. Period. Totally weird in a place with this quality food.
2) Desserts were few (only two our night) and hopelessly poor.
3) Service was pleasant but kinda clueless, even by island standards.
They got the hard stuff down, how come they can’t get the rest right?

“Nice restaurant, decent food”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

The restaurant is very nice. It is a colonial building in the center of Nassau. There are tables inside and outside on a small street where cars usually don't come. A pleasant music creates a very nice atmosphere. Some dishes are very good, like the mahi mahi and the entrecote. Mashed potatoes are excellent. However, we found other dishes disappointing, such as the lobster tail (pretty tasteless) and the apple strudel, which is far below what you usually find in Europe. Thus, you need to be lucky to have a good dinner. On the other hand, the pleasant atmosphere, which unfortunately is lost almost everywhere else in Nassau, will compensate a dish that should improve.

Don't miss the shrimp indienne, the spicy thai beef, or the apple strudel. Great music sets the mood!

“Try the Thai soup!”

We stopped in as part of a tour. Sat upstairs in a private room. The ambiance was great and the food was even better!
