It was a short 20-30 min ferry ride over to the island . Ferry ride was energetic and informative. Along the way you get to see Atlantis and the beautiful mansions on paradise island . The blue lagoon island is gorgeous. It the perfect setting for a beach . The water is calm and you can float in it all day . It was very clean and the workers were friendly . The dolphin encounter was amazing . My kids and I loved petting the dolphin and getting a big hug and kiss . The trainer was well informed and made it also comical . It was a fantastic day and I would def recommend this place .

Our family of 4 had a great time doing the sting ray encounter at the Blue Lagoon! We snorkeled with them first and then got up close and personal with them for photos. Definitely recommend!

We did the dolphin swim excursion from a carnival cruise and we were delighted with the island! Damien was our guide and he was beyond wonderful! He spent so much time telling us about and showing us things on the island. We were engaged in conversation with him almost continually throughout the day. He stayed right with us and was always helpful and accommodating. The entire island is a paradise. I would highly recommend any excursion going there. The dolphin swim was a bucket list item for my husband and I and we were not disappointed! The trainers were patient and helpful and we enjoyed the experience to the fullest. We had wanted to swim with dolphins for a long time and just kept putting it off since it’s a little pricier than some excursions. Let
Me just say it was worth every penny! Highly suggest!! We can’t wait to take our grandchildren there!

My wife and I spent a day here mainly to interact with the dolphins. We did the Royal Dolphin Experience and were not disappointed. We spent about an hour with four dolphins. They seemed well cared for. It was a wonderful experience.

Paid $69 per person, for this Beach Day excursion. Staff met us dockside - literally right at the side of the ship. Short walk to large transport boat / tender. About 25 minute (beautiful and breezy) boat ride to the island. PLENTY of beach chairs. 3 options for beaches One with plenty of water toys to climb on - lots of kids here. Life guard ON DUTY when we were there. Further down the beach was less children, more adults. We set our lounge chair at the waters edge and read books and sunned from 11 am till 4pm. Our excursion included a simple, but tasty (hamburger, chicken, fruits / salads) lunch. There are other options / food for purchase. And alcoholic drinks for purchase too.
-- Yes, flush toilets, and (outdoor) showers / place to rinse your feet. Also a convenience store with snacks, beverages, sun block, swimsuits, T-shirts... all the typical stuff available.
-- Yes they take US dollars. Though coins returned likely to be Bahamian.
-- On the way back - we chose the last / latest possible return - there was an extra stop to drop off locals, but no worries - we were back to the ship in plenty of time.
*** ALERT *** Food and beverage prices were reasonable, but you should know, VAT tax is added. Example: 2 daquiris 8.50 each, with taxes = $19.04 But they were yummy and generous!

The blue lagoon island is definitly a visit worth!
No matter if you just want to relax on the beautiful beaches there or if you want to have some action, you are on the right place for sure!
The short boat ride to the island is amazing, and when you entered the island once, you'll have a great time there for sure. You can rent snorkels or kanus there, the food is very good and there are even bars where you can spend some time:)
I can totally recomment the blue lagoon island for a beautiful day trip

We booked this excursion through Disney for the island day only and pre-paid for lunch. We rode by boat for about 25 minutes and came to the island where we were slow to disembark. We were dismissed by what we had to do on the island (VIP, dolphin encounter, etc). I couldn't see that it mattered. The beach was not crowded around 12, but the crowds increased after lunch, however there were plenty of open chairs. The free chairs were in the open and you had to pay for any shade. The kids and adults loved the water which was so warm. The sand was powdery and several large fish were spotted (including a baby shark). Walking around, there are several other beaches that mainly go unnoticed unless you are snorkeling and that is where you are taken. There is a beach that is sandy that also is a good snorkeling spot, but when we arrived a guest was warning another snorkeler a decent sized shark was spotted, and she left the water not in a hurry. There is a gift store where you can get souvenirs, snacks, bottled water. The lunch was decent, too. After cruise food, you become quite the food snob. There are hammocks, a volleyball court, and a pier you can see dolphins jump and flip in the water. Ferries run every couple of hours. The ride back was so much fun! The 2nd mate got to dancing with the guests and it became a party, everyone was sad when it was over! Overall, it was an excellent excursion and for a beach day and lunch was at a reasonable cost. There were lots of potential upgrades (animal encounters, shade, snorkeling, inflatables) and you could spend a small fortune.

This experience was wonderful! They have used the natural habitat in a way you don’t feel like the dolphins are squished in small pools. The area is beautiful and the trainers are wonderful. The dolphin encounter was sweet and surreal. You get hugs, kisses, to feed them, dance with them and the dolphin push at the end makes you feel like Superman! The trainers are great and shared so much information on our 2 dolphins. The only drawback- the time goes so fast!

My sister and I booked the Blue Lagoon Island Stingray Encounter and Beach Day via Royal Caribbean.

Upon arrival to the island we had a few minutes until our encounter was to begin. We watched the current group interacting with the stingrays. There was a male and a female running this encounter. It was pretty gross. The male operator was making sexual remarks while touching and rubbing the stingray on himself in a sexual manner. This was totally inappropriate and disturbing.

We chose to skip the stingray encounter and instead spent the day at the beach. We reported the incident to Royal Caribbean as well.

Never again willI go to Blue Lagoon Island.
