“Ok to get away from town”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Took this excursion while in port on a cruise ship.
Its ok for families if you don't want to go shopping or anything.
There's inflatables for kids to play on, a beach bar for the adults, and a gift shop.
Food was ok. Nothing to write home about, but typical.
Good photo ops - we took Santa hats to take our "warm wishes" christmas card photo.
Dolphin Excursion available there. We didn't do it, though.
Don't worry about getting the first umbrellas you see. If you walk to the left of the dock, and keep walking, you'll find more secluded umbrellas, hammocks, with a better view!

“So disappointing”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

On my first trip to the Caribbean I booked an excursion to this wonderful-sounding place. Maybe I expected too much....this was awful. I felt like I was at a state park. Though the lagoon was beautiful, it was roped off, there were children's water play-things in part of it, hardly any hammocks and beach chairs practically on top of each other. It made me sick that I had paid money for this. The drinks at the bar were reasonably priced and loaded with rum, but they were made from drink mixes from cartons. The lunch was terrible at best. The only good part of this was the ride on the water taxi to the island (except for the gorgeous lagoon water). The excursion allowed approximately 2 hours at this place because the 45-60 minute ride to and from the island was included in the price and allotted time. I wanted to cry. This is a place for families and not for those like me that was expecting a quiet secluded area of a lagoon beach.

“A Day Off the Cruise Ship”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

On the ferry ride to the island, the steel drum drummer was talking to us and pointed out all the celebrity mansions on Paradise Island. We were here the day before Hurricane Sandy hit, so all the inflatable swim platforms were being removed from the lagoon. They were chopping some coconuts out of the trees and gave us each one to drink the juice while we watched the people in the dolphin encounter. The kids loved swimming here, it was a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a day. Beers were about 5 bucks each but the bartenders were friendly, and the lunch you get was really good.Try to get the first ferry over because the day goes by really fast.
