“A look back in time”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

A small museum that can be visited in about 1 hour. A good history lesson about a pirate's life. Learned about 2 famous FEMALE pirates. They have a pirate ship that you "board" and the sets and information was very good. Look out for the "pirate" lurking in the shadows...a good scare!

“AAAARRRRGGGGHHH”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

Wow what a great museum. The ship and all of the venues are fantastic. The sillohuette of the pirate on the desert island brings back thoughts of Captain Jack Sparrow. Brings out the kid in you and thoughts of playing pirate. Yo ho me maties yo ho.

“Worth the stop”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

This is a short stop that is full of information you might never need again. But it is a fun stop. Granted the pirate outside got on my nerves after the first 15 minutes. He was a chatter box and just couldn't let the pirate thing go. When we exited the museum guess who was there? Oh yeah, the pirate. You guessed it...another 30 minutes of rubbish. I think the guy just likes to hear himself talk. So, go into the gift shop, grab your tickets and dodge the pirate if any way possible. I'm all about having a good time, but listening to a pirates opinion of politics and the Bible isn't my cup of tea. Maybe....just perhaps if he'd stopped yelling. :)

“A "reading museum", not much to look at”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

It is a bit of a bait and switch - not a lot of authentic pirate stuff. Recreations of ships you walk through. Lots of good info to read about under painting though. Kids will be bored very quickly in this.

“Information and History”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

This was fun and educational. But if you have small children then it will be a lot of reading out loud and trying to corral them. So don't expect to spend a lot of time or that it will entertain the little ones for a very long time. But if you want to learn and enjoy the cool air conditioning along with the scenes set up for viewing you have come to the right place.
