We were fortunate to be able to find 2 spots left on the Powerboat Adventure when we inquired with our hotel concierge about things to do in the Bahamas. The high speed boat ride was comfortable, and after about an hour we arrived at Allen’s Cay and got to feed the Iguanas. It was pretty amazing. About 30 min. later we departed for the private island of Ship Channel Cay. (Rest rooms are available on the boat and the island). Upon arrival we were offered snacks and drinks, and then we went to the beach and were able to feed the stingrays. Then the guides fed the sharks! Those who wanted to went snorkeling. Snorkel equipment was supplied and underwater cameras were available for purchase. We purchased a camera, but it was very difficult to see what you were photographing. (I would suggest bringing a towel with you). We swam out a bit and ‘drift snorkeled’ back to the beach. They went out snorkeling a few times. We had a delicious lunch – there was something for everyone to eat, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. There was an open bar all day, with name brand liquors, juices, sodas, etc.You had time to swim, just relax on the beach, or explore the island. (Although I wasn't aware of any trails, a few people said they went 'exploring'). The ride back was enjoyable too. We arrived back about 5pm. We had a great day and I would highly recommend the trip.
