My wife and I just returned from Breezes Bahamas where we celebrated the 50th birthday of one of our good friends. There were 3 couples on the trip. My wife and I had been to Breezes 3 years ago...so we knew what to expect...or at least thought we did. We found the resort to be in considerably worse shape than it was 3 years ago. It is in desperate need of updating. We talked to numerous couples that had problems with their rooms. The wife of the guest of honor, who put the trip together, was given a room with 2 double beds when a king was confirmed. They sent them to another room where the leaking ceiling in the bathroom was ready to fall in. Then, they went to their final destination...a room with a king bed and no view. The first night we were there, my wife and I watched the sun set at 6:45 p.m. The towel house closed at 6...so we just took our towels to the room and went back the next morning to exchange them. My wife was treated rudely, threatened with a
$50 room charge and told if we wanted to watch the sun set, to bring the towels back first. No necessary and certainly not good customer service. We tried to book reservations for Pastafari and The Garden of Eden...the two specialty restaurants and found that the 8:30 seating was taken by wedding parties every night but Saturday...when we got an 8:30 at Pastafari. The food was OK...nothing to write home about. The drinks are premium brands as advertised and there's plenty of it. However, the mixers were either too sweet or flat. Only one Pepsi machine at the resort had carbonation...plus...I'm a Coke guy! Crown and flat Diet Pepsi just doesn't work. We did meet some nice people like Michelle at the Pool Bar. She was awesome. Her fiance Charles In Charge was also an excellent waiter at Pastafari. The beach was nice and the weather perfect. We also had a bad experience one day with the Hobie Cat sailboats. We had a guy who gave us a boat that had a broken rudder. When we complained it was broken and got off...he jumped on it and quickly sailed it away from shore...embarassing my wife who was trying to take our birthday boy and his wife out for a sail. There were two other boats there and he never offered to let us switch to one that worked. Also...the sales people hawking booze cruises, jewelry, snorkeling, and cigars are everywhere. I turned down a cigar vendor who promptly pulled up a chair, lit one up and blew smoke all over my wife and I. My suggestion is to pay a little more and find someplace that is updated and friendly.

We had a great time. We have traveled around the world and I could honestly say that was on of the best values ever for the money. Food is very generous ,service is great. Ofcourse it is not Ritz but keeping in considration that you have paid about a fifth of what you have been paying I don't see the point in nagging. As for the pictures posted on the net about cracks on the walls we didnt see any that was probably taken shortly after the storm. Oh yeah there was alot of complain about the spring breakers and noise well if you check your calender you will know when not to go if you don't want the spring break teenagers around, was funny to see some were blaming
the hotel staff..lol

We just got back from SuperClubs Breezes. We were very disappointed in the hotel portion. We had water coming through the bathroom ceiling for 3 days before the management did anything about it. The patio door was completely off the track and just loose so we couldn't open or close our patio door. We have been going to SANDALS for the past 5 years and thought we would try a SuperClub because it is a bit cheaper. Well....you get what you pay for. We made 9 phone calls to the front desk about the water and they just DON'T CARE...The buffet food all tasted the same and it was almost the same menu everyday. The pools were dirty as people stay in them all day drinking and never leave to go to the restroom. This is more for singles then couples. The entertainment encourages singles to mingle. We would not go back EVER. The hotel needs so much work and you can see they aren't doing any renovation. The best part of the trip was the ice cream machine that they change flavors everyday. The beach was pretty but there are locals on the beach that try to sell you stuff and it gets a bit annoying. We were ready to leave the second day. Luckily, we went scuba diving and got away from the resort almost everyday. Save your money....

My sisters and I recently spent a week at Breezes, Bahamas. After reading some of the trip reviews coupled with the cheap price we were not expecting much. I am happy to say that we are already picking dates for our return. The resort was a little older but they made up for it with clean rooms and clean common areas. The entire staff with the exception of the watersports guys were very friendly. The entertainment was great, the hotel band was exceptional. Funky D the singer really made sure everyone was enjoying themselves every night. The food in both the specialty restaurants was great and the daily buffet was better than on a recent cruise I took as well as a much more expensive all in-clusive that I went to last fall in Aruba. The casino was a close walk and the $1 bus fare to downtown for shopping was easy. Well worth the money, the resort exceeded our expectations.

We went to Breezes, Bahamas for our wedding and honeymoon. Stayed 9 nights and had a group of 46 people come down. First the bad, almost half of our people had their room assignments screwed up. One bed instead of two or somebody was already in the room. For the most part they fixed the error to our satisfaction but it took some time and effort. Second bad was the wedding preparation. A lot of confusion the day of since there is no rehersal. It seemed like you didn't get to dictate how things were going to go. Upsetting to us since we have been planning it for months so beware if you are getting married. Also photographer only takes cash, travel agents fault there. The ugly, rooms are outdated and half had some kind of problem. Not very clean in some areas like under the bed. Hot water ran out in the early evening often. Hot tub is gross mainly due to people covered in suntan lotion jumping in. Not really resorts fault but avoid it. Disco downstairs stank and wasn't much fun. The good, most people friendly and helpful. Found that everywhere in the Bahamas. Food was good for the most part. Water not so good so drink pop or buy bottled. Location was good with casino just ten minutes away with nice restraunts and clubs. Activies and entertainment were fun for the most part. One annoying sidenote when we first got there staff VB person didn't seem to interested in sharing the court. In fact he played almost the whole day and didn't let someone else play when he and his buddy were playing 2X2. Really got us angry since we love to play VB and this guy who works there didn't get off the court. Only happened one day though I know of. Beach was pretty nice though not as nice as Cancun or Cabo. A lot more seaweed. Go see Atlantis, it is worth the trip. Do the Stuart's Cove snorkel with the sharks trip. The $55 is worth it just for the shark part. Also booze cruise was a blast if you like that kind of thing. Generally felt safe wherever we went and not to many vendors. In summary I would go back to the Bahamas. As far as staying at Breezes it depends on why you are there. Just to party, yes, getting married, may have to reconsider. Might be worth it to pay more and go to Sandals.

Had a fantastic stay. The accomodations were just right. The staff was friendly and extremely personable. Have been back three times due to the fact that unlike the other resorts their is little to no turnaround with the staff. The resort also has different entertainment themes each night. Make sure to check out the great Junkanoo music on Saturday nights.
