“Absolutely Fantastic!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

My husband and I just came back from our honeymoon there and it was absolutely amazing!!!! The people are soooo warm and friendly, and for the days when you just wanna laze around the hotel there are activities geared just for you. This is an absolutely fantastic way to spend that much needed vacation.
Our honeymoon was absolutely idyllic thanks to Tiffany, LaShawn, Jerry, Lisl, Polo, Lavardo, Lishcelle and Joey just to name a few!!!!

Thanks guys!!!

Room Tip: We had an ocean view room on the 3rd floor!

I recently returned from a 4 day stay at Breezes with my 15 year old daughter. The resort was recommeded to me by our travel agent. It was "spring break" and the resort was filled with all ages, but prticularly young people. Even so, the resort was well managed, security people were present but kept a low profile. Everyone made us feel welcome and tried to meet our every need. There were plenty of staff everywhere. My daughter was initially disappoined because of the high degree of construction all around the area. It really did deter from the tropical atmosphere we were expecting to see. Breezes is a nice, fun resort, definitely not first class, however if that isn't important to you, the resort offers many amenities that are included in the room cost. Food is very good, with varied buffet items each day. There is always food available, at least when we were hungry, and drinks of all varieties are included. The lobby hosts pingpong, and pool tables off to one side, the pool area is very nice also, especially the outdoor barbeque area that offers excellent grilled foods. It was fun watching people try out the trapeze! They have a nice beachside massage spa that we took advantage of. The rooms are somewhat dated, but decent and met our needs. I recommend being on the upper floors, as it is much quieter there. There is a disco that starts at 11:30 and plays all night I believe, so if sleep is important to you consider that. We were on the 7th floor and it was very quiet. They allowed us to check out and still use the facilities until it was time to get to the airport. They offer a secure room for your luggage while you wait.

I highly recommend a trip to the island zoo. The birds are beautiful and the grounds are lovely. We also took a trip fo the Blue Lagoon Island to enjoy dolphin and sea lion encounters, and they were awesome. Our favorite was the sea lion. It was well worth the money. Downtown Nassau was fun to explore and you can travel by "bus" for $1.25 per person. Taxis run about $9 per person.

My wife and I went with another couple during the Spring Break period and stayed for 5 nights at Breezes.

View: We had an oceanfront room right on the sand which was excellent. They built a seldom used large trapeze on the sand so it did detract from the view, but nothing major. You still had crystal blue ocean and clean white sands outside your door.

Room: Yes they are dated. The hallways do smell musty but we knew this going into it. We didn't come to hang out in the room. Our room was BIG and it was quiet so sleeping was not an issue.

Entertainment: OUTSTANDING. It is clear they focus on the party and entertainment aspect and they nail it. Shows were great. Night club was active and bumping till 3am. The sing-along piano bar was a hoot. They had spirited volleyball games on the beach every day. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. We are in our 40's and had no problem co-mingling with the college kids who were there on Spring Break.

Food: Pretty solid overall with a wide variety. The grill on the beach was the best as I loved the jerked chicken. It was perfect with an ice cold Kalik draft beer! The 2 restaurants were a nice change. I preferred the Italian restaurant over the French one, but whatever the case it was a nice change from the buffet.

Pool: Not heated. Don't go to the pool go to the beach as its only steps away.

Beach: Outstanding. Always had chairs available. Clean, warm water. No waves. Vendors are not too bad but they do beg for you to bring them beers from the hotel. One guy even wanted a plate of food. If you walk about 100 yards from the resort you can rent wave runners at a reasonable price $45-50 for a half hour. They will also cut you a fresh coconut (you can drink the coconut water) and then refill it with pina colada for $8. Its a nice experience to drink a pina colada out of a real coconut on the sands of Bahamas. Well worth the $8.

Staff: OUTSTANDING. They go out of their way to remember your name and treat you like you are the most important people on earth. Note: They do accept and want tips although they don't ask for them. So bring some singles and fives and it goes a long way.

Excursions: Segway tours are a must. Go to the off-road Segway that takes you through the fields along the beach. It is a blast and well worth the money. You can book it at the desk at the hotel.

Town: Going into town is SIMPLE. The 10 bus runs through the resort about every 10 minutes. Its $1.25 and no need to negotiate like a cab. Just hop on and hop off. Very safe. You MUST go to the FISH FRY. If you go to O'andres you will have one of the best meals of your life. I went with grilled conch and it was enough to feed a family for 12 bucks. All the locals recommend O'andres and we even saw the beach vendors eating there, so there must be something to it. The straw market was a neat experience but most of the stuff they sell is typical cheap swap meet stuff. Its huge but almost every booth sells them same touristy stuff. We drank beer while we walked around so that made it more fun. We finished with drinks at SENOR FROGS. That place was crazy cuz the boats had just landed and the college kids were going crazy. People were jumping off the side of the building into the ocean. NOTE: The town was WAY more active during the day than at night. We went into town one night and it was a ghost town. Most of the bars and restaurants were closed. It appears they cater to the daytime cruise ships. The town is VERY VERY safe.

Overall: I highly recommend the Bahamas and the hotel. If you are looking for a 5-star snooty hotel with lots of high end decorations and furnishings this is not for you. If you are looking for a FUN beach hotel where being out and about than this IS for you. Like I said, its an older beach hotel geared toward entertainment, food, drink, beach and party.

My wife and I were on a cruise that hit Nassau. We had been to Nassau two previous times so we were looking for something different to do. We decided on a day pass at Breezes and we were not disappointed. The day pass is $65/pp which is below the average for the area. The resort is dated which is noticable, but still very enjoyable. The drinks were good, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious.

My wife and I and 4 other couples stayed at this resort from March 19th - 26th, 2013.
It was one of our better vacations.. The resort was small but very nice. Food, drink, beach and staff were all great. Rooms are a bit outdated and no bathtub in our room on third floor.
You may want to take along a few facecloths, hard to get there. Room was very clean.
Close to town, bus # 10 every 10 minutes, about ten minutes to town.Shuttle bus to Casino evenings from 7 - 12 pm.
We have been on several cruises and all inclusive resorts over past 20 years and base
these observations on comparisons to these other experiences.
We are from Newfoundland, Canada and really appreciated the 7 days of warm sunny weather.

Room Tip: Ask about 1 queen versus 2 single beds. Ask about bathtub if this is important.

What a welcome - it started with Bahama Mama drinks at the check in! The only downside was that it was Spring break and the kids gave the security guys a lot of work which was handled extremely well. Hats off to the security in this hotel. The buffet food was amazing, so many incredible choices at each meal. The fish, the curries, the Bahamian specialties, sushi etc. were all just great and every meal was a lovely surprise. The best thing of all was the people - we never met a grumpy person working in this hotel. Andrew, Banista, Nicholas, Nevado, Jerry - too many to name! They all truly make you feel that they are really happy to see you and spend time with you. They go out of their way to try and find everything you ask for - sometimes even the impossible. We rode the jitney several times (little bus) and found the locals so helpful and friendly. There is a lot of neglect on the island which was rather sad to see but were extremely happy with our choice of hotel and can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Our room was at the very end of the hall (oceanfront) and was huge. We could step right out onto th...

We traveled to Breezes 3/11/13 to 3/19/13 . We had no issues with the rooms, they were nice and we had a ocean view that we liked very much. The food was very good , Drinks were great flowed freely , Entertainment was great and the staff was the best. Went on Spring break and no problems with all the Kids. The only problem we had was we forgot a Portable Hard Drive in the room when we left and after calling a number of times I was told the housekeeper hadn't found it . Not sure how you miss something on a bed you have to make for the next people coming in. The hard drive had all of our vacation pictures on it with friends wedding also. Tamara was very helpful and its not her fault housekeeping didn't turn it in . Hope they enjoy It . !!!!!!!!!!
