“Interesting!!!”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

If you enjoy history this is an interesting site. The stairs were built by hand. The entrance is quite pretty. Be sure to visit earlier in the day. They discourage tourists later in the day.

“Nice View”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

This was one of the stops on a tour we were on. It was very pretty and it was nice to learn some history of the island. There is also a small restaurant at the top right of the stair case that offers conch fritters and other local favorites at a fair price.

“Nice short visit - be aware of hustlers”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

If you are fit to climb the 60 some stairs, definitely do but please keep hustlers away who want to guide you thru the beautiful path to the stairs. They are not obnoxious but be firm that you don't want a guided tour.

“Nice walk, nice view”
Reviewed May 24, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I went to Nassau sans baby and decided that we wanted to do some of those "other" activities that we don't have the energy to do with our son. To get there, we really had to check our map and have a bit of a walk, but it was nice. We got out to explore a bit and ended up here. We took in the staircase (but declined the beggar/tour guide) and then went off to the castle. I nice, leisurely stroll.

The staircase is free and interesting but don't expect to spend a lot of time there. It's more of a "see and go" sort of attraction.
