“A beautiful building with an inspiring message”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

The Bahamas have recently celebrated 40 years of independence and this square and building is a daily reminder to aspire for a good future. It has a lovely sense of peace on a busy through road. Well worth a visit and stroll around, as well as Independence Square opposite.

“Welcome Relief from Bay Street Tourist Traps”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

Parliament Square has an authentic air that reminds tourists that the currents of Bahamian culture and history run far deeper than the ubiquitous trinket shops suggest.

“Worth seeing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2013

Parliament square is cool - if only because it forces you to imagine what the Capitol Building in Washington or the Parliament in London would look like if painted pink. It's government island-style. The statue of Queen Victoria in the middle of the square is worth a picture or two. And if you visit during 2013 you'll get a chance to read a little about Bahamian independence as a part of the 40th anniversary celebrations.

“An historic, small square!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

This is part of an old section of Nassau and so it's well worth a wander about - go to the hexaganol library, for example. I was in Nassau for a week and, on a couple of occasions there were events in the square.

“Not alot else to see here.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

The square was decorated for the 40th independence day so their were lots of colorful streamers around, balloons, and other blue and gold decorations. The stature in the square reminds you of the former British rule. Cute to see but don't go out of your way.
