I had visited this restaurant in January 2013 as part of a Bahamian Food and History tour. The jerk chicken, rice and peas, and fried plantains were just as good as I remembered it. Our service was excellent! If you want good food, eat here! If you want a pretty establishment, keep walking.

The service is deplorable, the place is not as clean as it should be and the decor is straight out of 1980's Nassau.

Lunch is crowded and seating is hard to find but thats because the food is as close to best of Jamaica as you will get in The Bahamas. ITS THAT GOOD! The curry mutton is my favorite but I have had other great meals. Take a snack if your coming from the cruise ship and be prepared to wait - Between $10-14 will get you anything from the menu.

All the food here is excellent. Best Jerk Chicken I've ever had in all my travels. The juices are really fresh and tasty. As some have mentioned, it has a hole-in-the-wall feel, but it's comfortable and works for a quick meal (they are not open for dinner). I didn't have a problem with service, but it's certainly not like an American chain restaurant where every serve tries to be your friend. Who cares, the food speaks for itself.

Finally we found a cheaper restaurant other than the main traps! Food was tasty and the people were nice.

We ran across this hole-in-the-wall while walking around Nassau. We thought we had found a hometown favorite because it seemed quite busy with a lot of locals and not many tourists. But you aren't treated any differently. They seem to ignore the locals too. The only difference is that the locals are used to it. They know what to do when they enter. They just take an available seat and wait, and wait, and wait until someone comes to take an order. The service is the pits, but the people are nice and the food is delicious. Everything is made to order and its better than any of the restaurants along the water. It's worth the wait and the poor service.
