Great food, friendly staff - it's unfortuante they tone down the spice to appeal to tourists! The more goat pepper the better I say!!!

Dropped bye for lunch today and had the fried snapper and it was delicious. Came with rice, plantains, Mac and cheese and was cooked to perfection at a very reasonable price for Nassau.

Not your typical tourist fare but real Bahamian cooking. The conch fritters were amazing, the beans and rice were delightful, and the steamed chicken was great! Worth every penny!

A block off the beaten path in downtown Nassau, this place is worth the 2 minute walk to relative peace and quiet.

With maybe the best Mac n Cheese on the Island, Bahamas Cookin' serves up great local fare at decent prices. Service is very friendly and efficient. Cookie, the server, is terrific!

A 1/2 chicken in gravy is an excellent choice at under $10. Order extra gravy. It's that good. Rice and peas is good, too, and the plantains are sweet and delicious, though not dark brown like mama used to make.

There is a full bar specializing in local drinks. Ambience is Island casual, not fancy at all. They do not take AmEx, only Visa and cash.

Went here as the first stop on the Tru Bahamian Food Tour and had a full lunch with the best conch fritters as an appetizer. They were great. Lunch was good too and the lime swissha (I think that's what it was called) afterward was good. A light lime drink that we took with us at the end of the meal.
