“Delicious from start to finish!!”
Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

Couldn't get reservations but full menu served at bar and these were the best seats in the place! Drinks were perfect and bar tenders were on top of all needs. Ordered pork loin with a sweet potato corn tamale on the side--- oh my goodness!!! Perfect! New York strip with spinach on the side was its rival! Finished off with lemon blueberry deliciousness! If you don't have a good meal or good time here-- well, you must've gone in looking for mistakes!

“You can do better”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

The food was OK and the price very high. Not worth the money in our opinion. The service was certainly acceptable. I expected better with Bobby Flay's name attached to the place.

“Favourite dinner spot”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

We tried 6 Atlantis fine-dining restos in 7 nights; this was our favourite. But I should mention that we ordered all appetizers. On that note I recommend:

*Crab and Corn Chowder
*Blue Corn Pancake with BBQ Duck
*Bahamian Spiced Chicken Skewers

“Not as good as I expected”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

The service is excellent, but the food is average. With Bobby Flay's name attached to this place, I expected high quality food. It was OK, but not great. It was overpriced considering the mediocrity of the food. I had the filet mignon which was huge, but I've had better elsewhere.

“Overall exceptional, but expensive if you don't have the meal plan”
Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

Overall the experience was exceptional. The whole concept of the restaurant is to take the concept of southwestern style food, which a very complex and complicated genre, and rewrite it. Changing our memories from that of the midnight Taco Bell drive-through to that of a greatly innovative and unique cooking style. Contrary to many other places that use spices in gusto, Mesa typically uses them to blend into food and enhance flavors rather than masking or dulling them. Take for example the pan seared tuna. When COOKED APPROPRIATELY this dish is exceptionally tasty with the horseradish blending in very well. One would think that it would be rather hot but it actually accents the flavor of the ahi very nicely in a similar way to Wasabi. The atmosphere is very nice with a classic southwestern feel. Copper and many other classic metals of the region are used to create a authentic look and overall the contemporary elements keep everything from looking tacky. The service is typically very quick but on occasion it can seem somewhat rushed. On occasion however there can be a bit of a problem in order transcription as my Dad's tuna and my Mom's Mahi Mahi came out rather dry. It can also get kind of loud at some points and there fore is not ideal for young children, or those who wish to have romantic dinner side conversation. Regarding price, similarly to most places at Atlantis it is very expensive, not only due to the resort trying to make a profit, but also as it is an island, everything for the most part must be imported. Moral of the story, get the gourmet meal plan! Definitely closer to a 4.25/5 and always a good option is you can take the both the price and the heat.
