We stopped at Athena Cafe & Bar for a drink and a snack. You can get in the restaurant through the jewelry store but the first sign that got our attention is sneaking you through the backdoor/fire escape. After ringing the bell it took a while before anybody opened.
The moment we came in the staff became more professional. We took a seat outside on the balcony where the fans were creating a nice breeze. Some of them got adjusted to make us as comfortable as possible.
We had a Tzatziki to share as a small bite and two diet cokes. The cans with coke came out cold and the very entertaining glasses had ice in them. Nice. The tzatziki was not a whole lot to share but as a snack just right. We know that the restaurants in Nassau charge a bit more but 13 dollars seems a bit much for the amount of food. The flavors were very good though.
The rest of the menu looked very interesting and we will definitely come back to try some of the other dishes. The staff is very professional (at least they are trying real hard) and make your visit a pleasure. Yes, they add 15% gratuity (which is marked on your bill) but we added some extra because we liked the service.
