Description: Located in the heart of downtown Bay Street, Athena cafe offers the authentic greek cuisine with a Bahamian flare. Not only you can find the traditional greek favorites here but also Bahamian delicacies such as conch, snapper, grouper and lobster! We are a true, family operated business that want everyone to feel like family as soon as they enter. Have a choice to sit at our cosy bar, our air conditioned dining room or the lively verandah.

Up on the second floor, overlooking the street below is this lovely, restful restaurant serving authentic Greek food. Best greek salad I have ever tasted!

You enter the restaurant by the back stairs, which seems an adventure in itself. We sat outside on the balcony overlooking the street. Attentive service and good food. Peter, the owner, was quite a character, he chatted to all the diners and summoned taxis with an ear piercing whistle!
A good evening.

Great food, average island prices (which is expensive). After the poor service and quality of food we got from everywhere else on the island this was such a welcomed change. Very very friendly staff. Perfect mojito.

ok, so it has actually been a while since i've eaten there, but it used to be a regular spot for me and my mom and i have always been a big fan. although it can sometimes be a little slow, they family feel is welcoming and warming. the food portions are good, but the meal is a LITTLE pricey in my opinion. still worth it though!

We enjoyed lunch here on the balcony. The service was excellent and the prices reasonable which is unusual in this area. The staff was friendly and answered many questions we had about the menu and the area. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the Greek salad was a bit wimpy - maybe made and held too long, and could have used a bit more feta and olives but it was tasty. We had planned to return a second time but were unable to do so, but will definitely go there on our next trip. Its not touristy like so many of the restaurants in Nassau. Just delightful.
